I can't record from the internet with Sony Sound Forge 8.

Sound Forge does not see the sound playing from YouTube or similar internet input. I can't find a setting in Sound Forge or XP to connect the two. I can record Line 1 or Microphone input OK.

Check the advanced record settings of your sound card. There may be an option "what u hear" or similar. After enabling this look for that option in Sound Forge.

Can't hear recordings

Try double clicking on the volume control in the system tray.

In the box that comes up, see if the wave control is off, or set low.

Move the slider up, you should get sound.

it sounds like your input levels might be low...which could be why you can barely hear what you've recorded and also why you're hearing so much noise after normalizing. check it out and give it a try!
