No. Pork must be refrigerated. I recommend that you toss it.

Should I add my meat and vegetables at the same time when making a pot roast.

Hello, Queen -

You can. Most recipes I have found for pot roast made in a slow cooker state to add the vegetables right after adding the meat.

These are links to such recipes I have found:

https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/slow-cooker-pot-roast

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/16346/maries-easy-slow-cooker-pot-roast/

https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchen/slow-cooker-pot-roast-3361787

By the way, all 3 recipes state one should brown the meat first in a skillet on top of the stove.

Best wishes.

Do you use water in a slow cooker

Yes you do.
It will not be like a pan on the stove although, because a crock pot does not lose as much moisture because it has a better seal. So For example
Stew from a can already has enough moisture in it, so no water.
A meat roast will want about an inch of water or a can of soup. A crock pot uses lower heat than a stove plus moisture (like steam) to cook.
Enjoy the slow cooking adventure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to slow cook

Well let me tell ya that's one of my favorite things to do
Just pop that yummy piece of meat right into the pot. add 3 cups of water. Add some salt and pepper, and turn it on low before you go to bed and in the morning you will have something awesome, with nice broth. But you need to ck, the water leval, dont let it go dry, you may need to add more water. .You don't need to cover the hole roast with water 1/3 up is good. You will have nice broth . I can make awsome gravie but thats next time.Bonapatite DFD please rate me.TK U
