You will most likely need to factory reset the tablet. **Note** This will delete everything stored on the tablet and reset it back to basic settings. Do you know what model it is?
Try this.
Turn off the tablet.
Turn the tablet back on while holding the power and the back button.
After the machine starts release the power button but continue to hold the back button.
Once you get the android screen use the back button to go down to reset #3.
Acknowledge the reset by hitting the power button.
After it says all data is rest hit #1 to restart tablet and it will be back at factory settings.
If it appears that water got inside the tablet, you need to dry it off and then carefully pry off the back of the tablet. They will come off, but it must be done slowly and carefully. Blot up any visual moisture. Place a fan to blow over it and let it dry for a few hours in a warm area.
If you are not comfortable removing the back, take it to a phone/electronics repair location for assistance.
I was having the same problem. Did everything but after all efforts had to send it back to Samsung ... Not an easy thing. First they sent it back and said it was damaged. Had to push back and tell them they would see it damaged when I post a you tube video of me throwing it against the wall. They had me send it back and now it is repaired and works great this may not help but they are aware this tablet has this problem.
After you have tried a reset (hard & soft) you"ll need to take the back off. once you remove the two screws you can pop off the colored backing. Remove the black tape (don't worry if you put the webcam out)Unplug everything, start at the bottom with the hard drive. Just lift the little black tab & it will come right out. Then then unplug the monitor in the upper right side. now press the reset button hold & press the power button hold 20 seconds. now plug everything back in just side the ribbons back in place & close the black tab. Now close the backing & turn the tablet on it will load to the welcome screen.
Hold the Kindle in both hands with the back facing you. Make sure your fingers don't press on the screen.
Turn off the power to the Kindle. The power button is located on the back of the Kindle.
Locate the rear panel that slides off the device. One edge of this wraps around the edge of the Kindle. Hold the Kindle so this side of the back panel faces away from you.
Press down firmly with your thumbs on the edges of this panel and push the panel away from you. It should slide off gently.
Power the unit off (holding power buttom) and selecting Power off, then
hold simultaneusly back button and on buttom 8 seconds,the android icon
appear press back buttom, in the menu select wipe data/factory reset
pressin home buttom and then press back buttom, in the next screen
select "yes delete all user data" pressig back buttom, and in the nex
screen select "reboot system now" with the back buttom and wait. IT WORK
