Please check the full model number of the washer. Kenmore appliances are built by other manufacturers and the fault code will depend on that manufacturer.
However, the F30 code is most likely for a Kenmore washer built by Whirlpool. If this is the case, the code means a problem with the detergent dispenser. The dispenser is controlled by lever that needs to move between two points as the gears go through the cycle. Sometimes the lever gets bent out of position or the control wires (or other items) get into the gears and blocks the motion. Sometimes, you can hear a clicking sound as the dispenser tries to engage. If you take off the top of the washer and then run a wash cycle, you can observe this action. Check what may be blocking the dispenser and adjust things so that everything moves freely. If that fails to solve the problem, replace the dispenser.
If the washer is under warranty, contact Kenmore. Most Kenmore appliance parts are available from
Sears Parts Direct . However, you will need the full model number. (The model number has a 3 digit prefix that indicates the manufacturer. The last 8 digits are the product model. There will be a period after the first three digits. Most front load washers will have the model number inside the door on the frame.)
If you post a comment with the complete model number, I'll be glad to offer additional help and the exact parts diagram for your washer.
