My cub cadet LTX 1045 will not start. I parked it the last time I used it and it ran fine. Engine turns over, gas in the carb; but no spark. Safety switches all look ok. Oil level is fine.

Brake switch
PTO switch
Seat switch
RCM / reverse switch

Could be any of the above.

Troubleshoot by checking continuity from the M (magneto) pole of the ignition switch to ground. It should be open (no continuity from M pole to ground.

Methodically disconnect switches until M pole to ground shows open. Then test suspected switch.

A DMM or an inexpensive auto circuit lamp tester will do.

Will a wiring harness from a ltx 1045 fit a ltx 1050

Since the LTX1050 has an electric PTO and the LTX 1045 has a manual PTO then I would say no.

Sparkplug location

that has a 20hp kohler engine the plug is very hard to see if you place enough hours on the engine that it needs a spark plug remove the top cover of the engine that covers the flywheel with that cover off you can see the spark plug wire its over the v shaped valve cover but clean the cooling fins off while the cover is off

Cub cadet LTX 1045 steering problem......... Only 10 hours on a new tractor. Steering became gradually harder to turn wheels. Now when steering wheel is turned left, both wheels point in toward the center.

Probably a bent "drag link". See your owner's manual about checking for damage adjusting the steering. For the LTX 1045, it is "Maintenance Section 6", Page 22. If it is bent, repair or replace as mowerman1857 indicated.

You should also lubricate at the two grease fittings (per side) shown on Page 20 -Lubrication - "with a #2 weight Multi-purpose grease". It may have been skipped at the factory or may have been stored at high temperature before you got it, and dried out. (Text in quotes are from the manual)
