Hi Michael,
Yes there is a fuse in your TV too and sometimes you do escape with a blown fuse after a power outage. Please open if you can the back cover of your TV, locate the fuse. If you do not see any damaged or blown parts, replace the fuse with the same rating. If the works, enjoy watching. If the fuse blows again, the power board needs to be repaired or replaced.
Good luck.

Remote control stop working after power outage. will not turn on the TV. after I caged the batteries still does not work. I have Spectrum cable.

The power outage is unlikely to have affected the remote but may have affected the tv. Try unplugging it for 10 minutes then plugging back in and trying again. Otherwise it could be a blown fuse inside the tv, or may be something more serious in the set. Does it have any standby lights on when plugged in?

After a power outage my Panasonic smart tv came on for 2 seconds but after that it turned off and it wont come on after 24hrs

The power outage probably popped an inside fuse or damaged some electronic components. If you are capable, unplug the tv and place it face down on a soft towel. Unscrew all the screws on the rear that hold the two halves together. Lift the back panel slowly making sure all is free. Look for the fuses and check if they are blown. If they are, replace them with the same rated fuses. This is the cheapest fix. If the fuses pop again after this, then something beyond the fuse was damaged. You will need a repair shop to troubleshoot it. Once fixed, plug the tv into a surge protector for future use. Hope this helps.

The power went off and wen it came back on the tv wont turn back on

If your power outage wad caused by a surge your tv may have died. Check fusebox for tripped circuit breaker also check tv wall plug fuse in case that has blown. It might be that the tv internal fuse has blown, you should disconnect the tvv from the electricity supply if you intend opening the rear of the set to check this.
If they are all okay the set probably needs the services of a trained technician

Good Luck

TV won't turn on

there is a surge protector on the main power board this has probably blown. or the main power board fuse or plug fuse. check them one by one. there even may be a secondary fuse in the tv around 3amp witch can blow. it will have red and black lines on it or orange that is the rating of the fuse. surge protector is like a battery shap round with 2 prongs onto the board.

WE HAD A POWER OUTAGE.NOW MY KEURIG WONT TURN ON. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THANK YOU.

Hi,first you need to check if fuse has not been blown out.Because when POWER comes back after an outage there is a surge voltage flowing through electrical lines. It is advisable that when their is a POWER outage you have to turn off your FUSE box or SAFETY box to make sure that it won'tdamage appliances when POWER comes back>Technically when POWER SOURCE or SUPPLY has been shut off for a period of time. When POWER is back, expectantly there is an abnormal flow of current/line; current will not be as stable until a period of time..AC current behaves like a wave, values changes from time to time especially when POWER SOURCE has just been TURNED ON..So better turn off FUSE BOX when experiencing POWER OUTAGE so that when power comes back SURGE VOLTAGE wont flow within the circuit>Hope this helps..

Tv wont turn on

Hello tvlover, The outage actually is not the problem but the spike that happened when your power came back on did the damage. That aside, you may just have a blown fuse. If you are able to and feel comfortable work with electronics, with the TV unplugged from the wall, take the back off of your TV and take a look at the line cord going into the circuit board, this will lead you to a fuse holder, look at the fuse and see if the filament inside has been blown (opened). If the fuse is blown relace it with one of the same amperage and voltage which should be written on the metal part of the fuse. Once the fuse is replaced, plug the power cord back into the wall and power it up. If it comes on and plays, that was your problem and you can turn the TV off unplug it and put the back cover back on, plug your TV back into the wall and enjoy. However if the fuse blows again, that could indicate a problem with a short somewhere in the powersupply path and that will require troubleshooting the set. Now I we have to troubleshhot this TV you will need a multimeter, an oscilloscope, and a schematic of the TV (at a minimum). If you do have electronics experience to this level and do not have this type of equipment, You will have to take the TV to a repair shop. Thank you, and I hope that it is just a blown fuse.

Av32D104 JVC Television Wont turn on , Has power to light on front that reads "auto timer" what now?

Unplug the tv set for 30 seconds, plug back in and turn set on, if its wont fix the problem, and you're NOT under warranty you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. You can also check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. Brief power outages may cause the TV to turn off on its own. If you are using a surge protector, try connecting the set directly to the wall outlet. In your case it could caused by a blown fuse, a leaky diodes or a bad solder joint at the horizontal drive transformer. All can be replaced at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace If this does not correct the problem, you may need to have your TV serviced. good luck!
