Hello Miriam;

My name is peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

The reason your micro wave liner is cracking is the way you place the food in the microwave.

The rust is coming from the steel frame where the liner is cracked.

Go into the following video on how to repair the cracked liner. You can do this.

SOURCE: Rust inside the microwave.

The areas can be sanded and painted, but first make sure there are no holes rusted through. If it's all surface rust, then sand and clean as best as you can. If you have any areas rusted through - get rid of the microwave.
Use the paint sparingly - don't try to cover in one or two coats. Best results are obtained with very, very light coats drying 10 minutes or so (depending on the humidity) in between. 10- 15 coats usually works well.
It's best to do this outside, as you'll have lots of overspray.

As far as the paint - the best I've used for the last 20 years or so comes from A.M.I. Parts. You can find them @ www.amiparts.com or toll free 1-800-522-1264.

SOURCE: my microwave oven has are rust spots;can I paint over them?

Yes, you can paint over the spots and no, it's not dangerous. I'd let the paint thoroughly dry before using the oven -- it could otherwise cause paint to buckle/ripple/etc.

SOURCE: bottom of door inside badly rusted - oven works fine

Yes you can paint it.. Begin by removing the rust with either a wire brush or a thick paste product called naval jelly. Then prime the area and finally paint it with appliance paint, abailable in a spray can at most hardware stores in the color of your appliance.

I have a samsung T.D.S micowave 800w model number mw76n-b. and the white has come away inside. I have only had it about a year

That is severe cavity rusting from under the painted surface. I would contact Samsung about a possible factory defect and exchange. Just from what I can see in the picture, It looks like it may have been rusted when they painted it or it is rusting from the other side that would be inside the micro body. Just my opinion so I don't know how Samsung will look at it.

Inside my Daewoo KOR-6Q27 microwave oven, underneath rotating glass plate, white layer (or paint) have piled off and rust have started to emerge. Can this problem be fixed or i have to buy a new one? Was...

I have painted many Microwave oven cavities. You have to sand down the pealed off rusted areas and completely clean and degrease. Before painting, I use laquer thinner as a cleaner degreaser. Fumes can be a bit strong but it has worked well of me. I normally buy an automotive spray paint. They have a lot of different colors and a lot of the import colors can really come close to the color inside the microwave. Spray on thin layers till you get good coverage and make sure you let it dry thoroughly before trying to use. The paint in a Microwave isi not a special microwave energy protective paint. it is only there to make it look pretty and protect the metal. So a good automotive paint normally works fine.

Paint inside microwave oven bottom is peeling

The oven cavity will probably start to rust where the paint is gone. If you're up to it, sand it and paint it with a color that matches the interior color. Other then colors, there is nothing special about paint inside a microwave.

Sparks and lightning like flashes appear when the microwave is on. It is a Dacor 24''

If something like a knife, spoon or fork is in the micro, this usually happens. It could also be that the interior of the micro may be damaged due to rust. Check for open metal, cracks or paint missing on the inside of the microwave.

Cracked seam inside Microwave

It will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.

Then if the steel seam is actually cracked / separated, then you can apply a very thin bead of steel-based epoxy "J-B WELD". When it dries thoroughly, you can sand it smooth.

Then you can apply some high-temperature appliance paint, available from places like Wal-Mart, Lowe's or Builder's Square.

If it's just the paint that's cracked, it will have to be sanded smooth and clean and dried thoroughly.
