The machine's been printing fine. Then it stopped printing and gave error message #a1-4111

The message 'Print Unable EF' indicates that the power supplied to the machine is unstable. This error could be the result of a problem with the machine, but it is much more likely that the error has occurred due to the operating environment.

1. Turn OFF the Brother machine's power switch (located on the right side of the machine), and then turn the switch back ON.

- If there are no errors on the LCD, go to STEP 3.

- If the 'Print Unable EF' message returns, go to STEP 2.

2. CSTEP a or STEP b were being used, go to STEP 3. - If the Brother machine was connected to a special device (listed in STEP a or STEP b) continue to STEP c.

1. STEP 3.
   3. Print out the User Settings report.
   
   a. Press REPORTS.
   
   b. Press the DOWN ARROW key until 5.USER SETTINGS appears on the screen. Press MENU/Set.
   
   c. The user settings will print out.
   
   d. Press STOP/EXIT.

You have a problem with PCB, plate-there is a element named-
TIP 33,you must to change it,if you can. Or go to service.
But better do it yourself,it is not too hard.

check under printer driver, paper size.Usually the default paper size iz ltr. change it to A4 if you wana print on A4.

I have found using 3 r d party inks in Canon printers will mess them up fast but the ones with the contacts don't work period

which OS you are working on?

1. Power off your All-in-One and unplug it.
2. Plug in your All-in-One again and turn it on.
3. Uninstall and then reinstall your cartridges.If this does not resolve the issue then try the next steps.

1. Power off your All-in-One.
2. Use both hands to lift up the scanner unit until the scanner support holds it open.
3. Turn the All-in-One on. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.
4. Remove the color print cartridge.
5. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
6. If the error message reappears, replace the black print cartridge with a new print cartridge.
   If it does not repeat steps 1-3 and then go to step 7.
7. Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black print cartridge.
8. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
9. If the error message occurs again, replace the color cartridge.
10. If an error message reappears, repeat steps 1-3 and reinstall both print cartridges.
11. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
12. If you receive the error message again, replace both cartridges.

Try cleaning the print hade sensor useing alcohol.it is by the home position whera the print hade is installed.

AP position error [6A00] the Sheetfeed unit or the main logic board has failed need to purge unit. Give it a good tank cleaning, possibly replace cartridges. Is it still under warranty? Have you contacted Canon?
