Volume problems on my Apple MacBook
Hi, Sorry you are having problems,
If I understand you correctly, you have your headphones plugged into the MacBook and are expecting sound to come out of your speekers ?
Well, if that is the case, you must know that the mac will automatically cut the signal to the speekers as soon as headphones are connected.
Now if you are saying that you connected the headphones to test it and found that whe you changed the volume, you could hear the change on the headphones, but when you unplug your head phones, you do not notice any sound difference on the speakers.
SO let's say that is the problem. First thing to always do, of course, is a full shut down and a clean start up with no headphones installed. Once you have booted up, try it again....
If it still does not work, go into your sound preferece pane in the system preferences and change some of the settings, like muting the sound and clicking the button that allows for showing volume in menu bar, unclick options go into the tabs go clicking and unclicking things...
then quit and then go back into the sound preferences and set it the way you want, sometimes shaking it up a bit gets it back on track...
Good luck.
