Question about HP DeskJet 5150 InkJet Printer
I had to disassemble the printer carriage and unjam it from the Service Center Unit. Now that I have that fixed, how do I Sync the Printer Drive Rollers and actuator gear so it feeds properly? There is a mechanical Actuator Gear that when engaged drives the Paper Lift Plate which raises the paper to the Paper Feed Rollers. But it's out of Sync, so it either stays up when manually raising it via gears or it stays down, which means the paper is too far away to get pulled into the the printer assembly. HOW DO I CORRECT THIS PAPER FEED PROBLEM??
SOURCE: will not feed the paper
check or replace the big white gear......that goes with the solenoid, the inside of that gear should have a little spring...if its mising get another gear.....good luck
also check the shaft with the

A metric allen wrench set (small sizes) is needed to remove the drive mechanism from the document feeder, then the parts can be disassembled. Unfortunately, the drive rollers, made of rubber were damaged by a small metal piece - (staple?) that was fed into the machine. Removal of the metal piece almost restored the drive. It needs to be lightly snded to remove the marks made by the staple. Thanks anyway.
