What does the flashing flow sensing arrow mean on a Kenmore Elite steam dryer front loading Mod-592??

The flashing flow sensing arrow on a Kenmore Elite steam dryer with the model number 592 typically indicates an issue with the dryer's airflow. This arrow symbol is associated with the dryer's flow sensing feature, which detects and monitors the airflow during the drying process.
When the arrow is flashing, it suggests that there may be a restriction or blockage in the dryer's vent system. This restriction can cause poor airflow, leading to longer drying times and potentially reduced drying performance.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can take the following steps:
  1. Check the dryer's lint filter: Make sure the lint filter is clean and free from debris. A clogged or dirty lint filter can restrict airflow.
  2. Inspect the venting system: Check the dryer's exhaust vent hose and ensure it is properly connected and not kinked or obstructed. Additionally, check the external vent to ensure it is clear of any debris or obstructions.
  3. Clean the venting system: If you haven't done so recently, it's recommended to clean the entire venting system. This involves disconnecting the dryer from the vent and thoroughly cleaning both the vent hose and the external vent.
If after performing these steps the issue persists and the arrow continues to flash, it may be necessary to contact a professional appliance technician or the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. They will be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps and recommendations for your Kenmore Elite steam dryer model.

My weather station is no longer recieving an outdoor temperature reading. The barometer is working fine, as is the indoor base station. Both were given new batteries at the same time, and the set up i

hi,

does the outside humidity working ?

if yes - the outside station is transmitting but the temperature sensor is faulty,
if no sensing is available from the outside station, it look like the outside station is faulty . (this is common because of extreme weather change.
notice that the pressure sense is done in the base station.

My modem's ping is normal but when i connect it to the linksys router, i get higher ping..

technically, when a data packet has to travel through another device, it does actually take a bit longer to get through end to end. this is really pretty normal, unless there is an extreme difference in times.
hope that helps :)

I have a Kenmore Elite Dryer with auto-sensing technology. Model # is 110.64992301. Everything on it works but the drying is taking way too long. I can run a cycle using the auto sensing or just use...

You need to check the lint filter and the exhaust air vent all the way out. I have a feeling it is at least partially plugged up. Some lint will always get past the filer, and it will restrict the exhaust air and cause the symptoms you are seeing. It can be dangerous too, because that heat will build up.

Refridgerator is freezing everything

This is likely a thermostat failure. The thermostat is no longer shutting down the compressor or sensing the temperature wrong. The thermostat is a module inside most modern refrigerators and is a fairly easy fix except for the cramped quarters. You can order the thermostat from an appliance repair store. I suggest getting the service manual while you are at it if you have no experience taking a fridge apart.
Do not damage or bend the sensing tube sharply at any time. Be gentle!

Car seems to not shift into 3rd when cold

The transmission will NOT shift into the final gear (overdrive) when the coolant temperature is below 177 degrees F. The OD is coolant temperature controlled. In short, the colder it is outside, the colder the engine is, and takes longer to warm up to operating temperature. The coolant, when it reaches 177 degrees F, satisfies the temperature sensor, which allows the final shift. Assuming that you do not have a thermostat that is stuck slightly open, this is a normal occurance. Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

Extremely long cycle

The drying coil that is broken also heats the water during the wash and rinsing phase. Right now it is waiting for the water to heat up, that's why it's pausing. Replace broken heater, they are relatively cheap and can be gotten at repair clinic.com.
