SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS CYCLE
To start the Service Diagnostics Cycle, press the
following keys, in order, in less than 6 seconds, while in standby(power on but unit off):
Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal
To Rapid advance one interval at a time, press the Start key, noting that
unlike Standard cycles, the Diagnostics Cycle automatically resumes
after door openings and does not require pressing Start to resume.

Once the diagnostic cycle has run and shut off, run a normal wash cycle, empty and with no detergent, to reset the control to factory "normal" operation. Make sure there's plenty of hot water.

The clean light flashing 7 times is an error code indicating an issue with the wash temperature. If the control does not detect a 4*F temperature rise in the main wash cycle, it will display the fault as the clean light flashing 7 times. There are several things that could cause the water not to heat, including the water being too hot coming in, an open door switch, or a faulty component in the heater circuit. The most common cause is the door switch not closing properly. This can be due to a loading issue or a latch issue. If upon visual inspection of the heating element no obvious defects are found, I would recommend resetting the control and running another cycle, paying close attention to door closure. If the light begins flashing again, you likely have a component failure. The heat circuit consists of several components including the element, control, door switch and tub thermostat(s). Reset the control by pressing teh following buttons within 5 seconds.

Our Whirlpool Quiet Partner II stopped working! I can't cancel out the cycle, it has a flashing "clean" light, that flashes 7 times, rest, and then resumes! It will not turn on, only flash...
Not positive, have you tried turning the circuit breaker off for a minute or two then back on? See if it will reset itself? Just trying to help.

Whirlpool quiet partner III. Clean light keeps flashing clean.
Had the same problem. Press the sani-rinse and heated dry button back and forth and it should reset.

do the heated dry and hi temp and then hitr cancel. you know what this means?! you have a bad heating element usually. call for service this should be a covered repair if it is only 6 months old
