I have the same problem, but it is only on outgoing calls. If someone calls me, they can hear me just fine. Can you see the s-mete if it has one moving up and down on any channel? Do you hear any audio at all? could be a couple of things. Bad mic switch or mic cable, bad antenna or coax, bad audio amp. To check the audio amp plug in a speaker to the PA jack, put the PA switch on PA then press the mic to talk. If it works the audio is fine the mic is good and the mic cable is good. Noiw plug the speaker into the speaker jack, do you hear anything? If not then your antenna or coax has a problem, fix or replace antenna or coax.
depending on how old it is, it could have bad caps. Could be the switching transistor, mic... Any number of things. It is the kind of thing where you have to start checking things down the line looking for the issue. Start with the simple things like the mic, cold solder joints. Look for obviously burnt parts. After that it gets a bit more technical checking parts in the TX section.
Hopefully its just a bad mic wire which would cause the radio to have no RX. Try a new mic. Good luck!
If the other caller can't hear you, the problem must be with the mic. I would suggest you to first check the mic, if your phone has a sound recorder feature, please open it and try a recording. Is it possible? can you hear the recording? I don't think so.
I would suggest you to get your mic replaced from a Service center or from a Samsung Mobile repairing shop. Your phone will be fine with it's mic and your other caller will be able to hear you.
From the problem description, it seems like there is a Hardware problem in the phone mic. It is advised to take it to some authorised service centre for test/fixing.
Can you dissambling your phone? if you can doit , please check the MIC part. 1. Sometime the MIC connector doesn't contact well with the phone PCB. 2. Chekc the mic part to sure if that thing work well with Multitester, if the mic not in good condition, please change that part. 3. Otherwise... If the mic and it connector work well, i think the AUDIO IC is in bad condition. Try to change that part.
But if you cant do or dont have any experience to disamble or fixing the phone by your self, I suggest you have to go to Cellphone Rapair Shop nearest your place.
Disconnect the all lines and power
Remove battery of the headset
Put battery back in
Connect phone line
Connect power cord
I am trying this according to Thomas 800-511-3180
I would think that your mic part is shot or you need to adjust the volume of your mic. Go to Start---->Control Panel---->Sounds And Devices---->Volume----->Advanced now adjust your input mic levels a little lower.
