Hi Denis seems like you have a faulty over flow valve, Try pulling and releasing the leaver on the over flow valve to get it to close... Maybe you'll need to replace it..... CHEERS..

Hello, I have a Marey tankless hot water heater Model # GA16LP and water started pouring out of it Dec 29th. I believe it has a 5 year warranty. The date on the tank is 1/3/16.

-Main water line has too much pressure. Reduce it.
-How to reduce...?
-Just turn the water valve at the main incoming water pipe to completely closed then turn it back to open but just about half of what you just turn down.
Or if any at the tank. just turn down that one instead the main one
-If still over flow then turn down little more.

Good luck

How to manually reignite rinnai infinity 26

what i would recommend is to turn power off to unit, turn water off, now open a hot tap inside. Go back to hw unit , turn power back on, now turn HW cold water tap to open. Now you should hear the unit start up.& click continuosly, this is the unit trying to lite. The unit has a flow sensor so as water passes threw it ,that tells unit when to lite. If you hear nothing & no water comming threw you strainer located above cold shut off tap is blocked, unscrew black knob & check. If you have flow & no HW check your gas, usally by losening gas union, there is also filter above this. Also plug another power tool into power point to check you have power

My water heater heats everything except my lower shower

Let's walk our way thru this one: I assume you have an upstairs shower, and a downstairs shower?-- Are you able to follow the pipes coming out of the Hot Water Heater?-- Can you trace where the pipes to the upstairs shower go?-- And what about the pipes to the lower shower? -- Do they BOTH come off the HOT water pipes coming out of the top of the HW Heater?
A big help in tracing pipes, is by having the hot water run in the Shower that is getting HOT water-- Feel the HOT! pipe?-- Now-- shut that water off, and go to the lower shower-- When it is running, can you hear water flowing out of the pipes at the top of the Hot Water Tanks?-- or do you feel Cold water moving-- Can you travels where it is flowing from? Get back with me, and tell me what you are feeling, and hearing-- Mack B

Low water pressure

Hi Bob,

You can determine if the tank is the problem by connecting a garden hose to the drain that is provided on most water heaters. Before doing this, be sure to shut of the electrical supply to the heater - otherwise you can damage heating elements if an electric type or waste fuel by heating an empty tank if a gas / propane fired type.

If you get a slow flow out of this drain, it means that somewhere in the cold water supply side to / in the tank - there is a problem. Inside the tank, the cold water is delivered by a "dip tube" that distributes the cold water to the bottom in the tank. Dip tubes are used in both electric and gas / propane fueled heaters. Here's a cut away view of a typical tank:

If the tube is clogged, or there is build up, scale or debris in the supply (cold water) side of the heater, flow rates will suffer. Likewise, if there is a problem with the output of the tank, it will directly affect flow as well.

If you get a good flow rate from the drain, then the issue is going to be on the hot water output side of the heater. Again, the same build up, scale, debris issues on the hot water out put pipe will cause problems with flow. Typcial tanks do not have dip tubes for the hot water side of the tank - as taking hot water from the top of the tank is most desireable and is furthest away from the cold water that rushes in to make up the hot hot water going out.

There's nothing really in the tank itself that can cause issues with flow outside of the dip tube, and piping to and from the tank.

Good luck!

Tankless heater says standby and nothing happens

You must to make sure that you have not used too much teflon tape, and also that the flow sensor is still inside the inlet pipe. For example these units some with a reed switch type flow mechanisim which when flow is detected it opens the door for the electricity to pass through the unit. so no Flow no power, or in your case there maybe something clogged, or your flow sensor is not inside the inlet pipe, also if this unit has been installed previously and had been working for sometime now, then check on the inside pipe behind the screen you will notice there is a small black or either white bullet style flow switch, if this flow switch is stuck on the inside of the unit, this is your problem, if not its a reed switch, you can call 1-888-818-4328 and ask for an ADK reed switch see picture attached

Carver cascade 2 No water at all comes out of the hot water outlet. The inlet non return valve has been changed & is working correctly.

Check the tank drain valve for water there. If you get a good water flow there you know the tank is getting water pressure.Check the first outlet downline from WH and if there is no water there you have a blockage or other problem. If you have to turn off water to tank, remove the outlet pipe ,and check for water flow from tank with in valve on.If no flow, tank is plugged up.
Hope this gets you going.

No water coming out of hot water taps, water is getting hot in the tank, we have changed the non return valve it izs a cascade 2 that is whot it says on the outer cover of the caravan

I'm not sure I have the whole picture here but When water simply will not flow from a tank your first guess that it is a faulty valve was a good one. While you had the valve off did you turn on the water briefly to verify that it flows well at least up to where your valve was? You may have to do this test. The clog could be right at the tank itself. Before you open up the pipe again first look for anything steel. I have found steel plugs screwed into an old threaded outlet on a pipe that has, over time, produced a large rusty blob that has blocked the flow of the water. If there is nothing like that going on you will have to open up the pipe. By the way, if hot water flows at any other locations, like the tub, then you know that the problem is not at the tank. you have to figure out where the blockage is by a process of elimination.
