Why have I got a red light on the bottom of my shaver when I am using it

It is common for many Braun shavers, that if the indicator light flashes red while the shaver is being used (switched on and running), it means the battery is low and needs to be charged soon.

Below is an example from a manual for a Braun model 7526 shaver. You can search that site for other manuals if this is not the correct one.

This model shaver has 3 indicator lights:
1) Green (Charging)
2) Red (Low battery)
3) Blue (Power cord attached and plugged into the wall)

Download the manual for the model 7526 here: http://www.manualslib.com/manual/20281/Braun-5301.html#manual

"The green charging light shows that the
shaver is being charged. When the rechargeable
battery is fully charged, the charging light
flashes or goes off.

If later on, the charging light comes on
again, this indicates that the shaver is
being recharged to maintain its full
capacity.

The red low-charge light flashes when the
battery capacity has dropped below 20%,
provided the shaver is switched on. The
remaining capacity will then be sufficient
for 2 to 3 shaves."

I just purchased a Panasonic Arc IV nanotech wet/dry shaver. I've been using it in the shower, and it's very effective. However, I'm wondering if I'm using it correctly. The shaver's manual says it should...

You did not include the specific model number written on your shaver but I will try to address your questions the best I can without it.
Most likely, your shaver came with a cleaning station and charging station. The cleaning light would tell you it is time to use the cleaning station. After each shave, you should dump out the shavings and rinse under the tap. You should let the shaver dry without the cap on.

Hope you have replaced the batteries with the new ones. Use a good brand

R-9190 Electric Shaver: The razor is used 20 seconds a day and used to go ...

The problem is almost certainly the batteries. You can access the batteries by removing the screws on the back and taking off the back cover. You will find batteries at shaveroutlet.com. You will need two batteries. See link below

I have a 3805 Philips shaver - no low battery indicator - how do i know when charged?

The 3805 has only a green charging indicator. This light will illuminate solidly when plugged in. Charging takes a full 8 hours. There is no indicator to tell you when to recharge. If the batteries are in good condition, you should be able to use the shaver for 7-10 days on a full charge

Just bought braun 8585 electric shaver, return it to the store as nothing happens while charging. Got a new one and still not able to charge it, shouldn't the indicator turn red or green? nothing happens....

Did you insert a cartridge into the cleaning base? It needs that in order to work. Otherwise, try plugging the charger directly into the shaver. It should definitely charge the shaver, as long as the shaver is fine. Depending on the model, the charging indicator may be green or blue.

It keeps flashing CHARGE

Return the shaver to the store from which you purchased from. It would appear that one or more of the Ni Cad batteries are no good and will not accept a charge. Have you attempt to plug the charger directly into the shaver? If not, try that and see if the shaver will run. Still your best move is to return the unit to the store as it is still under store return warranty. Dutchman
