I need to replace the filters for my vacuum but I cannot find them for model NV502. Help!

Check to see that the belt has not broken or off of the roller.

the burning odour will be from an over heating motor ( overload switch is cutting in )
have it checked out by an accredited service agent for the machine

If there's no noticeable debris on the brush roll try manually rotating it to help unearth any hidden clogs behind it. Take note of the condition of the bristles while you're doing this. If they look worn down, or loose then its time to replace your brush roll.

Check your vacuums belt as well. Overtime your belt will stretch and loose resistance. This could lead to the brush roll no longer turning. Be sure your belt is on nice and tight to ensure optimal performance. Your belt should be changed every 3 to 6 months depending on usage.

Shark is not made to repair and there are no parts available. It's disposable. Most vac shops won't touch them.

I am having the same issue. The brush won't even move when I turn it with my hand. I just posted this same question.

i think the coil lamination have got shorted or there may be any shorting of circuit. you should get it repaired without anymore use.
