You will have to look up the make and model of this and then input the serial number. Music stores would be happy to help you with this as well. Determine whether is a pro model or a student model first. Knowing nothing about this age or model wise I am going to say it is worth 200.00 dollars in very nice shape...no dents, nice finish.

Guitar serial number lookup S051985

I don't know what the guitar is, because that serial number is not recognized...but according to this site:
http://www.guitarattic.com/Fender%20Serial%20Numbers.htm
the S serial numbers were US made in 1979. If a legitimate guitar, it could be worth a fair bit, as '70s Fenders are becioming much more popular.

Musical instrument, Holton & Co. Cornet serial # 192673

You might find help here:http://en.allexperts.com/q/Antique-Musical-Instruments-2370/Holton-Cornet.htm According to this site:http://www.horn-u-copia.net/cgi-bin/yabb231/YaBB.pl your cornet was made between 1948 to 1949. Where it was manufactured will have some bearing on its worth but the bottom line is always the condition especially of the valves and tuining slides. Hope this helps.
