SOURCE: icemaker not filling with water

Try using an hairdryer or defrosting the unit completely , this often get rid of blockage caused by frozen lines fixing the problem.

The water lines can also be unblocked from dirt using a thin flexible shaft. This after defrosting.

If all that does not fix the problem, then you may need to replace the water valve, the icemaker solenoid, or the whole icemaker assembly.

SOURCE: Ice maker sprays water...

sounds like the inlet part on the ice maker is froze over or not lined up in the opening of it right or a possibilty that the ice maker is leaking out the water if that is the case the ice maker needs replaced

SOURCE: Maytag MSD2754GR - Ice Maker quit working.

Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

Just bought a used westinghouse RJ275M fridge. It seems to work fine except for the noise - it has a low hum and rattling noise.

It can be compressor fan noise, may be motor getting overheated and causing noise. It has to be inspected.

Before going to buy any parts directly.

It's not making ice. Not sending water to the ice maker. I replaced the filter this morning. Water is dispensed for drinking , but not for the ice maker.

I just replaced the water valve because my water dispenser in the door kept dripping. Google parts for your model and put in water valve. It will cost around $80 for the part. My sic year old did most of thr reacement after watching an online video.

No longer making ice

Hello, Is the freezer cold enough? Should be close to 10 degrees.
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Thanks

It makes no ice cubes, but water still comes through door dispenser. Why? There appears to be no water getting to the ice making mechanism, however water is still coming out the door dispenser.

A strainer before the inlet valve can also get stopped up restricting flow.

No water, no ice-LG LFD21860ST

Sound like a water supply problem, as both get water from the same source. Both valves are connected to the water line that supplies water to the frig, in the back, bottom, behind the cardboard cover. Make sure the water valve is on for that line. The noises indicate thew valves are probably working, but are not getting any water.

My jenn air freezer is not making cubes. the

The water inlet valve may be staying open. You can swap the wires on the dual water inlet valve and disconnect the water line at the valve which goes to the ice maker. When you try the water dispenser the water will come out there. When you stop the water dispenser, if the water at the valve doesn't stop, the valve isn't closing so you'll need to replace it. If it does stop after trying it several times then the problem is with the ice maker.

Ice maker not making ice after replacing water line.

Ice makers are a common problem. On many brands there is a reset button behind the plastic cover. However if you physically see Ice clogging your water inlet to the ice maker, this will without a doubt prevent the ice maker from making ice. Use hot water or a steamer to unclog the ice or you can leave the unit unplugged for a few hours to defrost the freezer. You should be able to hear when the ice maker cycles and lets in water. Note: if you're getting plenty of water out of your in door water dispenser, then it's NOT a water supply problem. You may need to check the solenoid that controls water entering the ice maker.
