How to replace bulb onPfFF TIPTRONIC 2030

To change the bulb in the Pfaff Tiptronic 2030, you need the bulb remover that was in the original accessory package. Push the bulb remover up into the sewing machine (at the bulb) as far as it will go. Rotate the tool (and the bulb) one-half rotation counter-clockwise. Bring the tool and the bulb down and remove the bulb from the remover tool. To put the new bulb back in, put it into the diagonal holder until the pins engage. Push the bulb up into the lamp holder of sewing machine as far as it will go. Rotate the bulb one-half rotation clockwise. Remove the bulb changer tool. The bulb should remain in the sewing machine. This, https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bulb-remover-412570101.aspx , may be the correct replacement for the tool.

Pfaff has many of their sewing machine manuals on their machine support page. The Tiptronic 2030 support is here: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Support/272 . The current link to the manual is http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/Tiptronic_2030_2040-manual-EN.pdf?ext=.pdf . See page 139 (132 of the PDF) for the directions to change the bulb.

I hope this helps.

How to insert a new light bulb into a bernina 1000 sewing machine

I cant belive the manual says "Using the special bulb holder..."

So you cant reach the bulb because it's up inside a hole?

I don't know if a bulb holder was an accessory item but check if you have one.

If you cant find the "bulb holder", take new bulb to hardware store and have someone help find a piece of plastic water tubing that just fits the very end of the bulb. Maybe $0.25.

The bulb has to be pushed in and twisted to lock/unlock.

What light bulb fits 4300 Morse sewing machine

The Morse 4300 and 4400 use the same small 15W screw in light bulb as many other sewing machines. This is one vendor: https://a1sewingmachine.com/LB716sm~Bulb%2C+15+Watt+Small+screw+in+base.htm . Another source is https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/light-bulb-white-7scw.aspx .

I hope this helps. However, if you have a bulb in the sewing machine, take it out and confirm that it is the screw in type. (If there is no bulb, look at the socket for some turns for threading in a bulb.) If the bulb or socket doesn't have threads, then look for a 15W push and twist bulb at sewing machine parts suppliers.

Quantum cxl. Why doesn't replacement lamp work?

Or it could be the incorrect bulb for the machine or if purchased from a secondary market, ie China, etc. I've purchased a replacement bulb from eBay and even though it was guaranteed to work in the machine, there is a lip on the bulb that prevents it from being inserted completely into the machine. Might be best to purchase an authentic replacement bulb from a dealer.

Can I replace an ordinary light bulb in my Janome machines with a LED bulb?

Certainly, you can use LED bulbs assuming you can find the right one for your machine. I found some on eBay for my Berninas and the light is great!!! So much brighter than the old yellow bulbs.

How do I replace light bulbs in a Bernina sewing machine model 1080?

Check the bulb model number old versus new and make sure you have the same number bulb. The bulb number should be on the base of the bulb somewhere. If the bulb has tabs sticking out of the base, check to see that they are placed such that both tabs are on the same plane on the bulb base. Some bulbs have offset tabs that only go in one way to the socket. Try rotating the bulb 180 degrees and insert it again to the socket before trying to rotate it. Check your manual for bulb replacement procedure. Make sure also that you didn't rotate the glass bulb out of its base when you pulled the old one out, leaving the old base still stuck in the bulb socket. If this is the case, unplug the machine and use needle-nose pliers to remove the old bulb base before trying to replace the bulb.

Change a light bulb in Bernina 1008 sewing machinge

If you still have original Acessories there should have been a grey or brown cone shaped rubber gripper that could be slid up on bulb to assist in turning it If not remove the side cover, then back cover to access the bulb. Some 1008's have push in bulb others screw in so be careful not to break bulb as you remove it
push in bulbs must be pushe in and rotated 45 degrees counter clockwise to remove. Of course screw in bulbs just rotated counter clockwise to remove

Light bulb keeps blowing

The light from a light bulb is caused by the metal filament being white hot, over 1000 degrees Centigrade, so touching hot isn't too much in those circumstances! However there may be a ventilation problem in the bulb area but our machines are just the same in the bulb area. A bulb that has gone black has had an air leak into the glass envelope and this it may well be a just poor quality bulb.
Are you getting the correct bulb? Some shops will supply one for a normal light which has a weaker construction and is not suited to vibration and working in an enclosed area. If you (or the shop) use a bulb with a higher wattage than specified with the good intention of supplying a better light it could also be supplying more heat....
A genuine Janome bulb - if you can get one - may cost more but should last a lot longer. I don't want to say your sewing supply shop is not providing the right bulb but ....

The other possibility is that you have just had a run of bad luck to counteract someone else's good luck of not having a bulb blow. Sorry (but thanks!).

Finally, try to avoid touching the bulb with your bare hands when you fit the new one. All peoples, everybody's, hands have a natural layer of oils on the surface that can cause hot spots on a bulb surface and make it blow. If you have any acetone type thinners (nail varnish remover) give the bulb a wipe over with that before fitting to make sure it is thoroughly clean and use a piece of new clean cloth to hold it when you are fitting the bulb.

Good luck
