Batteries ok; would not turn on; reset with paper clip; now will not turn off

you can attempt a factory reset, but then all saved games will be lost. look for a small hole about the size of a paper clip. then remove the batteries or power supply press in the paper clip for five seconds reinsert the power supply and try to turn it on.

Have you tried the reset with the paper clip in the reset hole yet.?

I think the reset hole is on the back. Press gently into the hole with a paper clip.

You will lose all data however and it will go back to factory default settings.

This is a common problem with Proscan tablets. Make sure you charge the battery fully before starting.

Or if all you get is a green light when its plugged into an external charger, then you could have blown one of two Microchips on the charging circuit and to get it working again they will have to be replaced. If it has just become corrupt you can try resetting the tomtom
To reset your TomTom device, do the following:

1. Check that the battery is charged properly.
   Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.
   
   
2. Remove the SD card
   If your device uses an SD card, remove it.
   
   
3. Reset your device.
   Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for at least 15 to 20 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.
   
   
4. Turn your device on.
   Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.
   
   
5. Insert the SD card
   If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

Try using the re-set button. It is under or near the battery. You might need a paper clip to fit in the re-set hole. If not see your provider.

Method #1: turn the router off. Insert the paper-clip, and hold for 30 seconds, to reset it.

Method #2: turn the router on. Insert the paper-clip, and hold for 30 seconds, to reset it -- watch the lamps go through the "power-on" extended pattern of blinking.

I just follow the paper clip trick (took the batteries out, connect the + and - with th epaper clip, then turn it off). After clearing all the program memory and turned it on & off, it worked fine.

If batteries are fresh use a paper clip and insert it in the hole (reset) to the left of the serial number. Press gently.

OK all is well just....Allow unit to run dead.recharge battery.turn on and push reset(small paper clip in reset hole).turn off and back on .should now work.if not format and download new soft ware at http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=8451.RICHARDM69

my camera will not show power when plugged into the dock, I had power from this before. Is it the dock or my camera that isn't working properly? Thanks Joanie October 2,2008
