I have and use Magic Jack too..Does your Latitude Communicator just plug right into a phone jack with a regular phone cord? If it does, then it should work...You will have to always leave your laptop on and never turn it off because Magic Jack requires a constant connection...Plug your equipment into the back of your Magic Jack and then with another phone, call the company that monitors your pacemaker/defibulator and ask them to "test" your line to see if you will receive a signal from them through your Magic Jack...You will to have to plug it all in and then test or you won't ever know...When I plug my home phone into the back of my Magic Jack, I receive a dial tone just like it was connected to a home based landline phone
Yes it can. Be advised that the magic jack only works while your computer is on. So you will have to keep it on all the time if you want to be monitored.
Yes you hook the majick jack in to your usb and the plug your monitoring device int to the ohone cord jack and you are ready to go.
Make sure that you have you address set to the correct address on the majic jack. In case you have any troulble we want the Emergency service to know where you are.
If you have access to a desktop computer, you can run your majic jack through that and stick it out of the way some where.

Per Magic Jack site,you can use any Intel PIII or better processor PC with a working USB jack.

When I use Magic Jack with a fax machine. I has to turn OFF the error correction on the fax to transmit the pages.
You may or may not have to do the same on the LATITUDE COMMUNICATOR.

Get the basic Magic Jack phone portion setup first and do a test call with your existing SPRINT AIR CARD setup.
If the VOICE quality is good then I can see the LATITUDE COMMUNICATOR.will not work.
FYI,Sprint has a 5 gb/month data cap. You should get the $99 unlimited package deal.

I would try it out on a phone first before you test it out on the monitor equipment.
I forgot to ask you is you computer and Internet running is TIP TOP shape.
MJ need a good stable computer and INTERNET connection to run properly.
