The green wire is nearly always connected to the ground pin of the 3 prong grounded cord cap. This wire is usually terminated under a ***** that is run into into a hole of the metal chassis of the A/C unit. You should re-secure the wire under a ***** that fits tightly in the hole.

That means that the indoor unit is not communicating with the outdoor unit. Check all the cables between the two units, look for broken wires, corrosion and loose fittings

I have a electric whirlpool self cleaning oven, after the cleaning process the door is still locked. It's beeping and error message E1 F5

Assuming the door is still locked after cooling, then either the door switch is bad or the wiring from the control panel to the door switch has a problem. First disconnect the power from the oven. Then check the wiring and connectors (from the control to the switch and back). If those are fine, you need to replace the door switch. After replacing the switch or fixing any bad wiring/connections, reconnect the oven to power. Press and hold any key on the panel for at least one minute to clear the error. You should see F2 on the LCD panel. Press Cancel to clear the error then check to see if any new error (or the old one) message occurs. (Usually a new error message will come up within a minute.)

Which model Whirlpool oven do you have? If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to provide a parts list and diagram of the unit.

I hope this helps.

We got this A/C back in 2004. It is a window unit. Recently, it is not cooling our bedroom as much as it used to....I can tell when the A/C is actually *on* versus when the fan is just running. It is...

Hello, usually the unit will not cool properly if the filter or evaporator coil is dirty, also sometimes if the unit develops a leak the refrigerant will leak out and the unit will not cool properly. Clean the filter and evaporator coil first and see if it helps, if not take thermometer and measure the air entering the ac and the air leaving the ac and find the differance, it sould be between 15-20 degrees if not the unit is low on refrigerant and will have to be recharged.

With a Kenmore 8000 BTU ac window unit there is a green wire that runs from underneath the control panel. Where does that go?

Most of the time a green wire is a ground and should be attached to the metal frame using a existing screw or a self tapping sheet metal screw. Thank you.

How do you put freon in a whirlpool window unit

you will need a AC Tech to first 'repair' the leak and then to 'recharge' the system. Also, the Tech may have to 'weld in' service valves on the unit if it does not have them - which most window units do not have.
Note: unless you've had a 'leak' you'll never need to recharge the system. I would 'be sure' you needed to recharge the unit before having it recharged.
Sounds like you might really need to have a AC Tech look at the unit before you do anything.

Says drum error, see troubleshooting maitainance chapter in user guide. Don't have a users guide. Printer is brother mfc-7340

I have this manual for you. I can be reached at [email protected]

Drum Error - The corona wire on the drum unit needs to be cleaned.
Clean the corona wire on the drum unit. (See Cleaning the corona wire on page 122.)

Cleaning the corona wire: If you have print quality problems, clean the
corona wire as follows:
a. Turn off the machine's power switch.
Unplug the telephone line cord first, disconnect all cables, and then unplug
the power cord from the AC power outlet.
b. Open the front cover.
c. Slowly take out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
CAUTION: We recommend that you place the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly on a clean, flat surface with a sheet of disposable paper or cloth underneath it in case you accidentally spill or scatter toner.
Handle the toner cartridge carefully. If toner scatters on your hands or clothes, wipe or wash it off with cold water at once.
To prevent damage to the machine caused by static electricity, DO NOT touch the electrodes shown in the illustration.
d. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab from right to left and left to right several times.
CAUTION: Be sure to return the green tab to the home position (a) (1). If you do not, printed pages may have a vertical stripe.
e. Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back in the machine.
f. Close the front cover.
g. Plug the machine's power cord back into the AC power outlet first, and then reconnect all cables and telephone line cord. Turn on the machine's power switch.

Condensation water is not draining properly on Goldstar AC window unit and backing up and dripping on the wood frame and floor below the unit. Is something blocked it just started happening. I am going...

Yes,remove the ac unit from the window, and clean it out with a water hose out side, remove all debris from inside the unit, and tilt water out of unit.Make sure there is nothing in the way of the drain, and when the unit is put back in the window, make sure it has a very good tilt outward so the water will for sure flow outside, not in.If this was helpful, please rate, thank you.

My compressor shuts off after a few minutes

Hello
One possibilty is the out side coils or condenser is dirty. And the unit is shutting down on high heat.

Try cleaning the outside coils with some simple green cleaner or even comet spray, then rinse with a hose.
