How do I remove and replace Corolla 2006 blower motor?

I need to replace the blower motor in my daughter's 2006 Corolla. It works intermittently and it is not the fuse or resister block. I need to know the procedure to remove the old motor and install a new one. The car is 90 miles from me, so I would like to know the procedure before traveling to where the car is.

You forgot to mention that there is a metal box with 4 connectors on it mounted below the blower which must be unbolted and moved out of the way before one can gain access to the blower motor. For some reason, removing the old motor was more laborious than putting in the new one.

Well the blower motor is underneath the dash on the passenger footwell, you have to remove the glove compartment to gainaccess to the blower, it ahas 3 or 4 bolts holding the motor, remove and replace with new unit, it is a good idea to replace the filter once the motor is removed.

Remove heater control switch

Before removing the heater switch on this 2006 citroen hdi I would first have the blower motor checked and the most common reason for this and other blower problems would be the blower resistor.

Your blower works on and off at times, first locate the blower motor and the resistor. the blower motor is located on the heater box, look under the pass/side of the dash, you may have to remove under dash cover to see blower.
When you have located the blower now look to the side on the heater box, there you will see a connector plug, it plugs into a connection on the heater box, this will be the resistor, the resistor slides into heater box and the end of it bolts to box to hold it in place and then the connector plugs into it, if you can not locate it then follow wires that plug into blower , follow wires back they will lead you to resistor,
next time blower does not work wiggle connector to resistor and see if blower turns on, if it does then resistor is the problem. also unplug resistor plug at resistor and check for any burning of connectors at plug and inside resistor.

I would bet its a bad resistor or the plug is brunt due to high draw from bad connections, if plug has burn damage to connectors then replace the plug along with resistor.

2006 toyota corolla ce a/c stpos blowing i hit the black box under dash below glove box and it will come back on what could this be?

a/c ? or air flow? if it is air flow and you hit the box and you can feel air being pushed again then most likely it is a blower motor or blower motor resistor

How to replace a 2006 toyota corolla blower motor

Hi,
Try the following & I am sure about the results;

Remove two screws on bottom of front face of glove box
Remove Glove box
Heater is just behind the glove box on the right side (the motor points downward and the fan is in a big round shroud).
Un plug the cable bundles that get in the way of removing the blower moter (the motor will come straight down).
There are three bolts holding the blower assembly in place, remove them and the blower assembly can be removed (pull downward).

Hook the black wire from the new motor up to the connector were the wire with the line on it (from the truck) was and the red wire from the motor to the solid colored wire from the truck (the wires from the motor had leads that you could slide into the connector from the truck).

Good Luck & Thanks,
Shiv.
