Tom is spot on as the replacement cost of the machine will be less that the parts cost plus the labor plus the frustration of it not working properly again

I found a 2.9 amp which seems to be the only replacement available. It fits although the dimensions are Length 3.11 - Width 2.1 Height 4.21 The model # is PS-1227 and is available at batterybuyer.com
Go to support on the Fellowes website. Enter your model number and you should be able to locate a parts finder. The shredders are rather inexpensive and the repair parts may not be available. murf427
Definately a settings problem. The camera will only syncronize on one specific speed. Youe best bet is to use auto. For manual, you'll have to set the shutter speed at the sync speed.

on the underside of the shredder, at the top of the space where the cuttings box is, there are 2 sensors, 1 at either end of the shredder blades. it sounds like these sensors could be either dirty, or defective. try to clean these with a cotton bud or similar. it may need new sensors, bu it is worth a try!
