Please answer. my camera just stooped recording shots in any mode... how do i fix this? could it be the memory 1.0 Gig Kingston memory chip? A virus? A setting, I think i checked them all.

How do I unprotect pics on a 0lympus c-765

As it was the camera that put the protection on ..You need to put the card into the camera..And ..UN-TICK each one to unprotect them...The idea of the protected photos is so you cant erase them when you format the card.

My screen says memory card is protected (reset switch on memory card)

Just turn off the camera and take out the memory card. Then just adjust the small tab located at the upper left side of the card to unprotect it. Then put back he card and turn on ye camera again. That's it!

I put my memory card into my Kodak EasyShare C143 digital camera. I press the review button, but all that comes up is that the file is 'Unrecognised'. One out of the three pictures is unprotected, but the...

It sounds as if the card was not formatted for the camera before it was put to use. My suggestion is that you attempt to download the images that you do have to the computer, then format the memory card. Always format a new card and after each time you download pictures from the card to the computer.

Hello! I have a problem with my cam. When I put the memorycard into the cam, it says - memory protect! What does it mean and what should I do? Thanks in advance!!

Actually your memory card is 'memory-protected' ! You cannot use it without making it 'unprotected'.

Try these steps to unprotect it :

1. Remove the memory card from the camera.

2. On the down-end (which faces outside when it's inside the camera) of the card, you will find a small sliding switch.

3. Move the switch to the opposite direction (left or right) of the present position.

4. Now, it is unprotected and you can use it!

please rate me if it helps....tc! :)

How to unprotect the memory card

On most sd cards there is a physical (tiny) sliding switch on the memory card. Here is a picture of a standard SD card. On the left you can see the gray switch in the unlocked position. Hope that helps. -WN

Unprotect memory card

Hi,

To set the memory card in unprotected mode, you have to do the following.

On the side of the SD chip, there is a little switch. Shift the switch away from "lock", then insert the card back into the camera.
This unprotects the card. You should now be able to take pictures and videos.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this does not solve the problem, then it is very likely that the SD card is faulty. I would recommend using Panasonic, Lexar or Sandisk memory cards.

How to unprotect the memory card

If I understand correctly what your asking what is the brand and size of the memory card. If I were to take a stab at it right now I would assume there is a lock/unlock switch on the card. Have you had this problem with the card before?
Good luck,
