Why will the scooter only move once and than have to wait 10 min for the next time?
Will only move once, have to wait 10 min will move again.
go forward, let go of throttle, keeps going, no brake.
go reverse, still goes forward but slower, let go of throttle brakes abruptly.
checked the wires back to the control box under floor, throttle neutral position is 2.6Kohm, full one way 4.96Kohm, full other way 0.6ohm, no dead spots.
Speed control from 0.6ohm to 13Kohm no dead spots.
sometimes if I try to move a second time too soon there is just a click but no movement, but sometimes a fault code beep 4-1 which is not listed in the back of the book.
any insights, hints or solutions?

Re: why will the scooter only move once and than have to...
Hi Nico, first of all let's check those brushes, at worse it 's the controller as i see that before...
Have you check the wiring from the throttle pot to the controller ?
One last thing , the speed pot,,short the two white wires ? and see if there is a improvement as it very hard to sometimes to find a faulty pot purely by taking resistance readings,..
Regards
Rob
Testimonial: "I did check the resistances from the plug at the controller, so it checked the harness at the same time (thought possible break where the tiller pivots) The motor resistance is 0.8ohm but will check the brushes. any idea what the code 4-1 means? I'll try shorting the speed pot tonight."

Check under the back end, generally connect to the electric motor is a lever by one of the back wheels, or in the case of "pride" sometimes they have knob that is lifted or dropped above the housing to engage or disengage the electric brake on the motor. If it is disengaged the scooter will not move by the motor, but you should be able to move the scooter manually, sometimes it gets "between" where it should be! If it is engaged, you shouldn't be able to move the scooter by pushing or pulling. Once your sure it is engaged, turn off the scooter wait a moment, then turn it back on. There is one more reason that may cause you a issue, the scooter can not be connected to the charge cord, disconnect it from the scooter and again turn off the key, and then turn on again to reset the scooter interface. These are both safety connections. Some of the newer ones will also "beep" if these situations are happening, and stop beeping when reset..
You could try resetting the computer. The car maybe in lockout mode.Try turning your car over….leave the ignition on.Wait exactly 10 min. Then try turning over again….again leave the key on. Wait exactly 10 min and do it a third time….this time the car should start…maybe run a lil rough while it relearns the processes of your vehicle again. It is important to wait the exact 10 min each time. You will probably need a battery charger or a set of jumper cables because if your car goes low during this process it will not work.Good luck and I hope this works.

YOU HAVE A PASSLOCK SYSTEM WHEN YOU TURN THE KEY THE COMPTER READS IT OK OK RESET YOU MUST DO THIS
1 TRY TO START VEH AND LEAVE IN RUN POSITION FOR 10 MINS
2 DO IT AGAIN
3 DO IT AGAIN
FOR A TOTAL OF 30 MINS THIS DOESNT ALWAYS TAKE THE FIRST TIME. MAY HAVE TO DO IT MORE THEN ONCE AGAIN TRY TO START VEH AND JUST LET THE KEY GO AND WAIT 10 MIN 3 TIMES
Check your batteries, they might be ready to die. Stalling is a sign your are not getting enough power to the scooter and when you do, it runs until they run low again. Kinda like a cell phone batt, ones it dies and you wait awhile you can get it started but only for a couple of minutes before dying again.
Move the second button from the left to set, enter the time in 24 hour format via the HH and MM buttons, then move the button to start. The far left switch, on/auto.off is for the chime. Set to on for 24 hour alarms, set to auto for no chime from 11pm til 6am, set to off, to turn it off.
