You have 3 things to consider. The back up camera itself, The wiring and the monitor. Replacing the monitor may not be the fix. Hard to tell without considering the other areas.

As these are aftermarket kits, check the wiring as well all of the connections within it to ensure a good conductive path.

Look for any connections and verify that they are clean and not corroded. Some head units have more than one input, as some laws dictate that the camera can ONLY be on in reverse...so one port gets a signal from the backup light circuit, and the others do not..anyways, look for what port the wires are hooked into.

yes the black is ground, the red goes to a constant power in the fuse block , and the blue goes to the reverse wire to activate the monitor
