If your phone asks you to subscribe to packet data when you try to connect to the internet using the phone, it means you have not subscribed for the internet yet.
Try to subscribe for the internet from the sim card service provider first. To do so, contact the customer care of the sim cards service provider and ask them for the shortcode to enter on your phone and the recipient to send it to for automatic activation and subscription of the packet data of your phone.
Then you select the internet settings as your default settings when that is done. You will be able to connect to the internet after this.
The error msg "packet data authentication failed" is displayed when connecting to internet via cell phone, even after having the original configuration settings provided by the supplier set to default. The problem can be solved by the following method or else contact the service provider. >Delete the old settings and then by switch off the phone. >Remove the sim card and reinsert it, after some time >gett the new settings and set it to default. Hope this helps. I had the same prblem. Even after calling cc, nothing helped. I tried all things but failed. Then unfortunately, i entered the url of the sp in the access point setting manually and wow it worked. I did this by using uninor.
1. Go to Menu.
2. Then go to Settings. 3. Go to connectivity. 4. Press Packet Data option. 5. Go to Packet Data Settings. 6. Choose a valid Access Point according to your mobile service provider. ( Before above steps ; please make sure that you have valid GPRS / EDGE settings.
Hello,
There will always be some kind of delay, though it shouldn't be real noticeable as your requests get routed. You may have a bad network cable that is dropping packets. Make sure you are not running your network cable along side power cords for more then a couple feet. This can really mess up data transfer and speed.
There are updates for the firmware to your router. Make sure you are running the latest.

Don't forget to backup your settings before updating the firmware.
Cheers

hello,if you remove the packet data from your mobile phone that simply
means you will not be able to connect your browser, the only thing you
can do to the packet data is either to CONNECT/DISCONNECT. you can achieve this by the instructions provided below, MENU>SETTINGS>CONNECTIVITY>PACKET
DATA>PACKET DATA CONNECTION.from the option there you will see "WHEN
NEEDED" you will be asked either to be "ALWAYS ONLINE" OR "ASK FIRST".
Welcome to Fixya Support.
Now a days every cellphone supports GPRS or Packet Data connection. If your phone packet data connection is checked to always online..phone always shows small E symbol besides the signal strenth indicator. So turn off Packet data connection from your phone settings.
good day, we all have a bad start sometimes but maybe you should have an engine tune up just to satisfy your curiousity, hope this helps, have a nice day
