Mintek 2110. Why doesn't tray open? - Mintek Televison & Video

No manual for it unfortunately, but there is help on parental codes and a video. It is not a mainline brand.

On most DVD/CD players (including ones build into PC's and TV's) there is a hole in the front of the tray into which something like an opened paper clip can be pushed into to activate an emergency tray release to enable the user to recover a trapped disc. If this is not the case then you will need to "go in" unless your device is still under warranty in which case you should contact Mintek customer support (look in you user manual for information).

hello, you just need to clean the lens, you can buy dvd lens cleaner, try it..

on the remote control there is an input button. push input and then select one option at a time until you have the connection.

I believe the password code is 88888. This is factory set this way and can be changed

You need to change the Video out in the menu.
Press set up on the remote
move down to video out and select YUV output
it should now work

I am having the same problem. I have a Mintek 2110, but lost the remote control. I found this code on the Time Warner Cable site. 2096. I'm going to try and plug it into my universal remote this evening. If that works, the default passcode should be 88888. That's what I remember my code being years ago.
