After 10 years with a Proview not Proscan RX326 TV, went from coax to HDMI from new Comcast digital adapter. Comcast & Proview remotes turn on TV but the screen often stays dark with no sound.

Proscan HDTV Codes = 1000
Proscan TV Codes = 1000, 1008, 1068, 1094, 1108

Proscan VCR Codes = 3000
ON MOST REMOTES:
1. Turn on the TV.
2. Press and hold the TV and SEL buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The button will light.
3. With the button lit, point the remote at the TV and enter the TV's 3, 4, or 5 digit code.
4. Verify by pressing the VOLUME + button. This should turn the TV VOLUME up.
5. Press the TV button to store the 3, 4, or 5 digit code. The button will blink twice to confirm the code is stored.
Your ProscanTV can be controlled with a universal remote and work with Comcast, Dish Network, Direct TV, RCA, etc...

If it is LCD you have possible faulty T-con board that need to be replace.

1: be sure that you have selected the correct input on your tv, there should be a button on the remote saying "input" or "source" 2: be sure the source is turned on and that the wires coming from the source are in the "output" receptacles and that on the tv they are on "input" receptacles. 3: it may be possible that one input is damaged or malfuncioning, try switching to a different input (example: from "Video 1 to Video 2, or HDMI 1 to HDMI 2). check the contrast settings on your tv, it may be set so dark that you cannot see well

There may not be a code set compatible with your Proview TV since this brand is not that widely distributed. The code sets available in any remote reflect the brand names and feature sets of TVs (and other entertainment electronics) that prevailed when the remote was designed. Even the so-called 'learning' remotes will not program to every InfraRed remote.

I had the same problem. I have the 40 inch Proscan and they supplied a remote control guide for comcast. It was only 4 digits and it did not work. I called Comcast and they did not know. I found it needed 5 digits so I added a 1 and it worked The code is 10178. Hope it works for you.

I was having the same problem with my 40" Proscan Tv. I had to go to Comcast and get the remote with the gray OK button instead of the red. I could program my DVD player with a 4 digit code so this remote worked when I put in the 4 digit code Proscan sent with the TV (0178). This was the only solution I could find . They do have the remotes with the gray button but you might have to be very persistant to get one with the codes for the rest of your electronics.

Try this..Run cable line into VCR in, cable from VCR out to box, then cable from box to TV..this might work...I have done this for YEARS and it is never failed. You can then watch and record 2 things at once.

Wow it took me a couple hours but hey i found the code ever1 needs and its a 5 digit code for comcast remotes with the red ok button the codes r 10090 or 10030 hope ive helped u out good luck
