My battery is always running down fast on my toshiba. Someone help me!

I would definitely advise against unplugging any type computer while it's running. You should always shut it down before turning off the power. When it's running the hard drive is spinning really fast and turning it off without shutting down is the best way to damage the drive. After it's damaged it won't work.

First double check your charger is 19V (at 3.42A minimum) on the body label. It could also be providing a faulty voltage so you need to check its output with a cheap voltmeter (should be 19 to say 22 volts off load), OR borrow a 19 v charger from someone which has same connector to see if it works on your laptop. This laptop draws a lot of juice and the battery doesn't work good anymore. You need to install a brand new battery.

when u purchased the laptop or replaced the battery?

normally laptop batteries will last only for 2 to 3 years,inside there will a series of batteries connected together if any intermediate battery fails the same kind of problem will occur,u better do a battery reconditioning it may help to some extent.or else change the battery.

Insufficient info is provided here. How old is the battery, and how long does it last now. If it is old and runs down easily, then it needs changing. If it is less than 8 months and still runs down fast, then its having issues with ur main power supply. Purchace a new battery and ALWAYS USE IT WITH A SURGE PROTECTOR. Hope this helps?

It mean that you have to consider replacing battery because it drain fast your battery due to wear tear.

replace the battery . battery has its own life time and after that it needs to be replaced . so do it.

Usually the fans only come on when they are extremely hot. The fan will not run alot or it'd kill the battery really fast. You could always get one of those notebook coolers that sits under and connects via usb.

You can still use your laptop even if you take out the battery and run on ac alone. You can also leave your battery in with the ac plugged in for 4 hours to charge it even if the laptop is off. Hope this helps. Thank you.
