I have a honeywell he220 that worked great last season. This season the water will not run through it. The sail switch seems to be ok.Could it be the solenoid switch? How can I tell?
I will try cleaning out the intake side of the solenoid
I will let you know the outcome
Mine had the same problem no water through the solenoid. It turned out to be the little adapter with the needle hole on it, attached to the solenoid on the intake side. It was clogged, cleaned it out and works great now.

Same problem.
I have the same problem. Pricing for the solenoid is more than half the cost of a new unit.
I am having the same problem. I would change my filters religiously and this year when I went to turn on the humidifier , the water would not run thru it, why?
How do I check to see if the solenoid is working?
I have the same exact problem. I had the unit installed last year and it worked great. This year...I turn it on and no water will pass through the solenoid valve. The saddle valve works just fine, but it appears the solenoid valve is shot. Wow...I've only used it about 4months.
Thanks so much for the tip. Cleaning the needle hole did the trick and the unit works great!
I too have the same problem every year. When the repairman fixes it they do not charge much. I am not home when they are here so do not get the oppty to ask what to do when I restart. It must be a simple solution
Does anyone know how to clean the needle hole? I am not able to unscrew the water pipe inlet side!
