How do I remove child lock from a siemans washer

The child lock feature has been turned on your washing machine and when the child lock has been activated the control panel will not work and the settings can't be changed either. To turn off the child lock feature press and hold the child lock button for about 3 seconds.

CL usually means that the child lock (or front panel lock) has been enabled. This is useful when you clean the exterior of the washer without starting the machine.

Without the manufacturer and model, I can't identify the exact button or pair of buttons to toggle the CL on or off. However this will be indicated on the washer in a very small font. There are two patterns for the child lock feature. In one case, there will be a button with a small padlock symbol on it. This will be below the button or on a second line on the button. Press and hold this button for 3+ seconds or until you hear a tone or see the CL removed from the LCD panel. On other washers, there will be a line between 2 buttons with either the small padlock or a picture of a child's face in the middle of the line. Press and hold the two buttons together for 3+ seconds or until you hear a tone or see the CL message disappear.

CL means that your washing machine's CHILD LOCK is ON. You can find two buttons Temp and Options in the panel. Turn ON the machine, press these two buttons together for 3 seconds and thats it. It might have a little kids face above a lock key, inbetween the wash and rinse buttons, hold these for 3/5 seconds and it should work

CL is child lock. See your users manual for unlocking the child lock procedure. Usually it involves pressing 1 or 2 buttons for 3 to 5 seconds. Many machines actually have a lock button you press for 3 - 5 seonds. Others use the stop pause button.

The "CL" code is not an error! This means "Child Lock"!
To unlock a washing machine you will press and holding within 3-5 sec two button, marked "child lock".
