This may be a bit technical ,but stay with me , the address your trying to access is in a different subnet (security reason) the machine your using to access this router has to be in a Ip range of 192.168.254.0
to 192.168.254.253r it will not be able to "see" the device this address is typically used for router config as its not a common used number and so it's unlikely to have any conflicts, however after you config the router , both it and the machines on its network should be set to something in the range of 192.168.1.01 to 192.168.2.254 as this is a more typical range of numbers to use on a small network and should help to eliminate any future config problems as new devices are added in the future
