Ideally you should have it replaced, if you hired a fabricator, insist that it be replaced or repaired to your satisfaction. If it cannot be replaced, bring it to a local fabricator and they can glue it back together with epoxy. The crack may become completely invisible or may show quite a bit depending on the color and pattern of the stone. You can also ask a local fabricator if they will give you some epoxy and you can glue it together yourself by pushing it tight and letting the epoxy dry, then scraping off the excess. You will likely still see the crack in this case especially if you don't color match the epoxy.

I can't get the faucet to not move from side to side after it is tightened donw on the granite vanity top. The base is tight and does not move, but the faucet part still moves a little. How can this be...

The faucet should have come with a rubber gasket which goes between the faucet body and the granite top. Make sure it's properly aligned and has not slipped out of place. Be carefull when tightening the faucet to the granite, since granite is easily cracked.

Installing a vessel sink

Standard Vanity height is approx 34.5". A vessel vanity is approx 31" high. If you cannot remove the legs from your existing vanity then it will have to be replaced or cut down to the correct height. The reason a vessel vanity is lower is because your sink will be approx 3 to 6 inches higher than a standard drop in sink. This may be more work than it is worth. Vessel sinks most often will require a solid surface top, either glass, stone or another type of composite material. The standard laminate vanity top has a particle board substrate which will detiorate quickly at the drain location.

Seperate a granite tile backsplash from an existing countertop

the back splash should be held on by silicone or glue very seldom are they screwed on i would bet it is stuck with adhesive silicone so score around the outside of the splash with a utility knife the remove it scoring around the outside will prevent sheet rock damage

Granite vanity top

if this is real granite ,check with a local monument or tombstone supplier in your area and ask if they will sell you a small amount of polishing compound , if this is not possible a regular grit toothpaste will work but will take way more rubbing , take a small amount on handkerchief use the tip of your finger rubbing a while then take dry rag such as small towel and buff , repeat until gloss is back or your finger is to sore to continue , tomorrow again . ps make sure it is granite and not plastic
