Wi-Fi service available but LG Incite can't connect to it

The phone recognizes the availabe Wi-Fi networks but when attempting to connect it says ''connecting'' for a few seconds then reverts to ''available''. Also, if I am able to get connected via Wi-Fi, do I still use the browser icon to connect to the internet? In addition, I see references to entering valid web addresses or else the browser would say ''lost connection'' or something like that but where do I enter this valid address?
Thank you very much

A wifi connection reverting to available could mean a wrong password enter or a wrong encryption type.
If the available wifi networks are being use as hotspot, then you probably needs to register in order to use the wifi network.
If it's a private network, check if the network is at band 5 or 2.4. Just some tips for you to check out.

SOURCE: My blackberry storm 2 browser is missing when i am

Hi,

I had the same problem as yours. Here's how I solved it. First you'll need to download the blackberry software from sasktel website. Just google it and you'll find it. Once you've downloaded it here's what to do:

1. Download the latest firmware to your PC
2. Install the firmware onto your PC that is running BlackBerry Desktop Manager
3. Go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and delete the vendor.xml file. If you are using Desktop Manager 4.7 or higher you must also disconnect your PC from the internet.
4. Connect your device and open Desktop Manager
5. When prompted select "Upgrade Now" (If you are not prompted select Applications Loader > Update)
6. Follow the prompts and your device will be upgraded.

This solved my problem and my browser is running perfectly well on wifi.

HOW TO CHANGE THE INTERNET SETTINGS IN THE HTC WILDFIRE A3333

Wi-Fi provides wireless Internet access over distances of up to 100 meters (00 feet).

To use Wi-Fi on your phone, you need access to a wireless access point or "hotspot". The availability
and range of the Wi-Fi signal depends on the number, infrastructure, and other objects
through which the signal passes.

Turning Wi-Fi on and connecting to a wireless network
From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Wireless & networks.
Select the Wi-Fi check box to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone then scans for available wireless
networks.

Tap Wi-Fi settings. The network names and security settings of detected Wi-Fi networks
are displayed in the Wi-Fi networks section.
If the wireless network you want to connect to is not in the list of detected networks,
scroll down the screen, and then tap Add Wi-Fi network. Enter the wireless network
settings, and then tap Save.

Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
If you selected an open network, you will be automatically connected to the network.
If you selected a network that is secured with WEP, enter the key and then tap
Connect.

Depending on the network type and its security settings, you may also need to enter more information
or choose a security certificate.
When your phone is connected to a wireless network, the Wi-Fi icon appears in the
status bar and tells you the approximate signal strength (number of bands that light up).
The next time your phone connects to a previously accessed secured wireless network, you
will not be prompted to enter the key or other security information again, unless you reset
your phone to its factory default settings.

My KC550 lg does nt run internet .I received settings also but it give s communication error.why?

First what is a KC550 lg , laptop , deskop , mobile phone.
Im assuming phone have you synced with the wireless router ?
Connecting your LG phone to wireless Internet is easy to accomplish with phones that can receive Wi-Fi signals.
You may decide to use the Wi-Fi capabilities in the event that you do not receive the best signal from your wireless provider at your home or office.
If this is the case, then hooking up to a Wi-Fi network near you could provide you with a faster connection to the Internet and a more reliable signal to send e-mails, texts and pictures.
Press the "Applications" tab on the home screen of your phone.
Scroll down the list of applications until you reach the "Settings" option.
Press "Settings" to bring up the menu.

Locate and click the "Wireless & Network" or "Connections" option within the "Settings" menu.
Select the "Wi-Fi Setting" or "Wireless Manager" option, then select the network that you want to connect to and click "OK."
All of the available wireless networks within your range will appear.

Enter the wireless network password (usually located bottom of router) if you are connecting to a secure network.
Press the "Done" button followed by the "Connect" button.
