Take it back to the store. Manufacture defect if it died after only 10 days. Attempting repair or disassembly will probably void warranty.

SOURCE: remote control signal to multi or split air conditioner, samsung

maybe the lightning has something to do with that but to make it sure try to call a service person and try to refer it and kindly ask some explanation if he can fix it so that next time you can justify the reason this thing happened.

SOURCE: The air conditioner remote control

It's the remote, and it's dying: the diode that sends the IR signal stops working when the temperature is high. Soon it will stop working at all so you will have to replace it. You can replace just the diode, but it's a fiddly job that will cost almost as much as an entire new one - better replace it whole

SOURCE: remote control functioning unit is

Hi Russell Webe, just a guess, but sounds as though the remote receiver board is faulty, however you might try new batteries in the remote first,it may help. failing that it is time to call the serviceman. Also try turning the power off to the Ac unit for about 5 minutes and then back on again. This will reset the electronics and again may solve your problem regards. col www.digitalcontrols.com.au

Samsung Cooltech Plus Model SR-L659EVSS

The 'd' error code on your Samsung refrigerator indicates a problem with the refrigerator's defrost system. This could be caused by a number of issues, such as a faulty defrost heater, a faulty defrost sensor, or a problem with the control board.
To troubleshoot the problem, you can try resetting the refrigerator by unplugging it from the wall outlet for at least 5 minutes, then plugging it back in. This will reset the control board and may fix the issue. If the problem persists, you may need to check the defrost heater and sensor to see if they are functioning properly. If they are not, they may need to be replaced.

Sherwood RD 7505 - video button under the input area doesn't work when pressed. Can't change the input to have TV come through the speakers.

Hi,

Please power cycle your tv and check that it's connected as it used to be when the video-button was working for you. You can also power cycle your sherwood device before attempting your initial procedure/button press again. If it still does not work, please test that your speakers are able to function with other items in your location in order to eliminate the speakers as the potential cause of the issue.

Thank you.

Samsung Refrigerator Error Code 1E or IE

I'm not sure what all the wild goose chase answers are all about, but you guys are WAY overthinking this and not solving the problem. I'm a 45 year old stay at home mom, decidely and possibly forever "un-handy". The solution is simple, as I just administered it this morning after a self-imposed power outage: Press the "Energy Saver" + "Lighting" button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds and you should be back in business. When this happened on a previous occasion, we had a repair guy come out, although the fridge was operating perfectly bc we weren't sure if that error message was indicating something important. Well, I felt like a schmuck when the guy showed me how to reset the panel (and we were both a bit irritated that phone tech support didn't do a better job of level 1 troubleshooting). So there it is...if your fridge is working fine but showing 1E, press Energy saver + Ligthing at the same time (you may need a flashlight since the panel will be dark).

Our power went out due to the snow storm, and the display panel shows 88 on each side...how do I reset this...will this cause the fridge temp to go up?

From http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportMain.do

Your refrigerator is equipped with an onboard diagnostic system. If the diagnostic system detects a fault, it will display a specific line segment on you refrigerators LED display. If your refrigerator is displaying an error code, please note the error code, and reset the refrigerator by unplugging the refrigerator for 30 seconds. When the refrigerator is plugged in, it performs a self diagnostic check of the various sensors and functions. If the error code reappears your refrigerator will require service. Please click the "Create Online Service Request" button below this article to initiate the service process. After a power outage the display panel may start blinking "88 88." If you unplug the unit for 30 seconds then plug it back in the display will return to normal operation after several hours. The power outage/surge can cause a communication error between the circuit boards in the unit. It can take several hours for these boards to stabilize.

If the display does not reset, go to the Samsung Support link above, enter your model number, and follow the prompts to request a service ticket.

Good luck, and if this helps, please rate my answer!

I have a GE air conditioner, model #ASM18DBS1. It seems that some of the touch pads on the control panel aren't working. The On/off works but the temperature up and down and the energy saver aren't...

One of the most common reasons for a non-working touchpad is a power interruption. If the power to your air conditioner has been interrupted, such as during a power outage or if you've unplugged the unit, the touchpad may not function properly. Another reason could be a software glitch or a firmware issue, which can cause the touchpad to freeze or not respond to your touch.

We had a power outage yesterday and now with the power back on the electronic controls aren't functioning. Is there some sort of reset button or is the electronic control panel likely burned up?

HI. Most units of this nature are not protected from this type of power surge(pulse). This unit dose not have a rest feature. You can preform a manual reset by unplugging the unit for five minutes. This will force a hard reset, by draining all power. Once the five minutes have passed, simply re-introduce power to the unit, and observe the actions. If the issues persist, kindly replace the main control board.

Green light on front rapidly blinks after power outage. No picture, or can't turn on

This unit, when first plugged in or after power interuption takes 70 to 90 seconds for the digital module to boot up. During the time the LED blinks green and the set will not respond to anything. After the appropriate amount of time the blinking should stop and the set should operate normally. If the blinking never stops then you have to have the Digital Module repaired.

We had a power outage and the next day all I could get on my TV was the blinking power light. Can you hellp me? I have a Samsung 42" LCD Flat Panel HDTV Model No. LN T4042N edit

Hi, the power surge has destroyed the power supply board that is located inside your lcd cabinet. this board works in conjunction with an inverter board that regulates the raw ac current that is used for many different functions in your set. Normally, this type of damage will be isolated within the power supply but, it could have spread to the main control board as well, depending on how well the surge protector preformed during the surge.

The good news is that, this is a repairable situation. you can replace the power supply circuit board and inverter board as well. these replacements will fix this issue.

please rate and god bless:)
