Re: When I try to retune TV to pick up new TV stations I...
Check stations MPEG format . Check if it is MPEG4 and check if TV can decode MPEG4 . A firmware update may be available on tv and may fix it but it has the risk of turning the tv into a brick if something goes wrong during a firmware update.
suggest contacting palsonic to see if firmware possible and which one to use. http://www.palsonic.com.au/customer_service/upgrade/default.htm

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/ If the above process does not work then check the link above for additional information and also visit the accompanying site links below to find more information for your model of TV / FREEVIEW box. Ran into the same problem with this DVD player and my LG tv. Try this:
Open the DVD tray, with the DVD tray open press the HDMI select button until the proper resolution for your tv is illuminated, put the DVD back in, close the tray and try again. Simple fix -- worked beautifully for me.
Have you tried to access the menu features and tried to retune the stations on digital, or are you hooked up for analog. If you don't know about what i speak, give me a yell. [email protected] I believe my remote sensor card is bad. While this might explain why you can't turn yours off, it would not explain the blank picture. If the menu does show, i would think the picture tube is O.K. if the menu does not show, there are some other things to look at.
