No sound on Murphy tv but earphones are working

With earphones plugged into tv the tv will not produce sound , only to earphones

It sounds like the TV itself has the problem.

i had this same problem but i fix it by unplugging all hdmi and scart cables just have the aerial in then in the tv menu go to first time install or set-up run it and hopefully you sound will be back on it worked for me

if their is a sound from the internal speaker then the problem is with in only in the earphone jack or in the connection. to access the internal part of the tv you need to remove the rear cover. locate the earphone jack terminal re soldered and check the connection at the board ( PCB). you can check also the continuity, attached powered pc speaker then use an analog tester and check weather their is a connection coming from the stereo input jack going to the terminal of the earphone jack of the tv. if no connection replace with new earphone jack. good luck hope this can helped.

The earphone jack may be damaged. This takes the audio from the set and provides either a path to the speaker or when plugged in to the earphones. Try the earphones - if they work, the jack may be at fault. If the remote has muted the sound, turning the TV off then back on should reset the mute.

check out if it had a earphone out, if there is, got a earphone plug to it, if theres a sound being heard at the earphone, a loose at earphone jack is the situation....

You may have a bad H board which is the board that has the voulme/channel buttons on it. You may want to have a Sony asc give you an estimate to repair. Good Luck
