I don't have the model number. I tried to to scan for digital channels but not all of them are showing up. Some of the channels have two number and a dash then a number. How do I input that/

Do you have the tuner locked out for use of HDMI input only?
Most of the time when a selection is not able to be hi-lited it is
because a feature that is activated locks out other selections.

do u have the user manual for the TV? if you do the solution will be in there, if not (I suspect you don't) please give the make an model so I can try to look this up, but off the top of head there is no way to "assign channels" to a paticular remote setting.

Seeing as it does not have a digital tuner in it, I would think this would be the problem, you will have to get a box for it.
