My hp 2000 notebook window 8 vision amd when u turn it on it has lines and dont do nothung else how do i fix it

it might be due to static on the notebook
turn off the notebook and then remove the battery from the notebook press and hold the power button on the notebook for 4-5 sec and then put the battery back and then turn on and check
if the line is still there check it in the safe mode or in BIOS if its still there then replace the screen

What is the exact error that your computer is giving you when you double click on a program? I think I've had this problem but I'm not 100% sure and I'm not going to write out the solution if it won't fix the problem.
