Did display indicate unlocked after pressing stop and eject power off/on, if it did and still wont eject after pressing eject button than it needs repair shop or screwdriver tactics

With the unit turned off press and hold "8", and then press "x" on the unit until "unlocked" appears on the screen.

This is from page 83 of the manual regarding tray lock feature.

Now that it's unlocked, try unplugging it for 5 minutes then plug it back in and try to eject the disc. Report results here.

Is ther an HDMI cable for JVC xvc27u

There is no HDMI OUT socket on this player. I don't enjoy giving negative answers, so if you could explain why you want to use an HDMI cable with this player, I can possibly make some suggestions which will help you to achieve whatever it is you are trying to do.

If you were simply looking to buy this or any other player and want one with an HDMI output, you should look for something else ;)

Hope this helps.

Dvd will not eject from jvc hr xvc27u dvd player all it will do is display the word read on the screen

elsombro is right. There is a little whitish plastic square on the right side of the player, part of the DVD assembly (after you take off the cover). It's about 1/4 inch square. With the unit turned on, push that square with a pen about 3/4 of an inch in or as far as it will go. There will be a clunking sound but that is the sound of the DVD being released back onto the tray. Now gently push the back of the tray forward, ejecting the disk manually. Take the disk out and then press the close button. If the door doesn't close, it's out too far so manually push it in about an inch or so and then press the close button again. Should be fine after that. I think my problem was a DVD I recorded on my computer and it has the wrong format or something. After I got it out I put a regular DVD back in and everything was fine.

My jvc dvd player/vcr will not eject disc says its reading but wont play or eject

You might want to check the thin ribbon cables attached to the dvd inside the unit, pull them out and slip them back in.

VHS won't work

Had the same problem on my JVC vcr/dvd combo unit.
You need to turn off the timer function. I did this by making sure my remote was in the "VHS" mode...turn the swith from TV to the right (found on the remote in the upper left corner...an then hit the "vcr" button. Then point the remote at the VCR unit and hit the No. 4 button (timer turns off). Your unit should not have the red timer displayed and you should be able to play your tapes okay.

Hope this helps.

DVD will not eject from JVC HR-XVC27U

Disconnect the Power Cord. Open the Case and go to the DVD unit. On the right side of the unit you will see an indentation which is the mechanical portion of the DVD Unit.

Push the indentatation in, it is the eject switch. The DVD unit door opens remove the DVD stuck in the unit.

Put cover back on plug the unit in, insert a workable DVD and all should be OK.

The problem was the unit could not read a Defective DVD which I made and the unit was locked in to reading the DVD.

I hope this helps
