GE side by side refrigerator model no TFG20JAWWW 627 litre is occasionally leaking water

Check the drip tray in the freezer section where defrost water drips from the defrost heater melting frost during the defrost cycle. If ice blocks the drain hole in the tray inside the freezer(usually behind the evaporator cover) the defrost water will travel into the bottom of the freezer & onto your floor. Some models also have a second evaporator in the fresh food section. A blocked drain or clogged defrost drain tube can cause the problem.

Kenmore refrigerator model 795

Hi,

This is a simple fix but will take a little time to correct this. First of all, empty the freezer of food and shelving, ice maker if you have it also. The back wall in the freezer is a false wall, so gain access by removing screws and harness from top left corner. By the way turn off the unit or unplug it!! Now at the bottom of the unit far back you will see an ice glassier in the bottom middle is a drain hole that all the water is to exit after defrost. Well because its blocked with ice the water overfills and leaking into the refer section. Make sure you can use hot water to clear this out but make sure you cleaned out the entire drain system before reassembling this to restore cooling. Once clear you problem is solved.

Good Luck

I have a kenwood KDW12ST3A dishwasher. i have lost the manual and the dishwasher is displaying code E4.What does this mean ??

HERE IS A LEAK AND IT IS BUILDING UP IN THE BOTTOM DRIP TRAY!. It is filling up the drip tray and tripping the micro switch. Remove the lid(2 screws at rear),givng access to screws on top of right side panel, remove right side panel, you will have to remove plastic cover on bottom front first to give access to screws on side panel. This gives access to the hoses and such, where the leak is most likely coming from. I would buy some inch and a half to 2 inch hose clips first, as the clips on the machine are not really reusable. The machine will have to be put on its left side, you may have to remove the bottom drip tray also, this holds the micro switch and the polystyrene float. You may have to run the machine to see where the leak is coming from, It is time consuming, but very "doable", remember electricity and water do not mix, unplug and make sure everything is dry, particularly yourself!.

Auto defrost works fine except for water accumlating in the bottom of unit under the bottom trays instead of in the water tray by the compressor. [email protected]

There is a leak or damage of the pipe leading from the evaporator downwards. The defrosted water is leaking out of the tubing to the bottom, replace this tubing or check the leak on the collecting tray under the evaporator.

Water is leaking from the bottom of the fridge. Why? It is destroying the wooden floor. Refrigerator is Whirlpool Model # ED25UEXHW01

Some water dripping under the refrigerator is normal. There is supposed to be a drip tray to collect it, and there is not so much that it can't evaporate. Check to see that the tray is still there, in the right place, and not cracked. If the drip tray is full of water, then you have another problem. If your air is humid, you would get more water during the defrost cycle and the water in the drip tray wouldn't evaporate very fast. If your freezer door seal is not air tight, you would get more water to defrost. My guess is, the drip tray is out of place or cracked.

Frozen water on the bottom of my Amana freezer

Your drain line is clogged. Take a small diameter pice of wire and snake out the drain line from inside the freezer.
You may have to access the back rear near the compressor and separate the drain line there and clean it further.
