Question about Radio Communications
This is an odd part and is no longer available. It is a neon bulb coupled to a photo-resistor. When the neon bulb goes on, the photo-resistor needs to drop in value. The dark state of the photo-resistor should be as high as you can possibly find.
Some experimentation will be in order. This was a custom part that ICOM no longer has available. It is used as part of the power supply to provide for a soft start function. This function isn't really necessary, and you can jumper the photo-resister side and your radio will operate.
