You can't reset the password unless you know the current password. All you can do is a factory reset. There's a small hole on the back marked "reset" about 1in. diagonally from the right lower corner of the data plate. Leave the tablet switched on and push a straightened paper-clip into that hole for 10 seconds. This should reset it to the factory specs.

I suspect that your operating system is "KAPUT", that is to say non-operative due to contamination. If this is a SYNET07526, then you can go to www.digitalgadgets.com and download a replacement system (upgrade) to that book. You have to follow a definite method to load the system. It entails buying a SD card of at least 1G and properly formatting it. (normally they come already formatted). You then will have to down load the upgrade to another computer and unzip the file. You would then copy the "script" file only to the root directory of the SD card. Turn the power off of the SYNET07526, insert the SD card in the slot upside down, turn on the SYNET07526, and see if it will load the operating system along with the APPS. Go to this website. Download the "OS Update" zip file. You'll need to unzip it to a blank 1GB SD card (they say at least 1GB, but I used my 512 and it fit). Then you put the card in the slot UPSIDE DOWN WITH TABS FACING UP! Turn on the Netbook and the entire OS will self-install. Sometimes you need to do this more than once, apparently. Just remember, this is going to ERASE your entire netbook and do a clean install of the OS. The step by step instructions are also right on the page; here's the link:
