Soap dispenser drawer will not stay shut. I have put Duct Tape on drawer to keep it shut, but would like a more permanent solution. Is this a DIY fix? If so, what part(s) should I replace?

Water leaking out of soap dispenser?

Disconnect first the mains, power plug off the wall. You could have a clog in your soap drawer; pull the dispenser drawer completely out. There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer to remove. Clean the soap drawer with an old tooth brush. The usual block could be old soap, softener, etc. (you could also be using too much soap powder). I usually use just above 125ml (my measure cup says ml, I use front loader powder for the 5.5kg load) The wash is very gud. This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.
Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Next could be one of hoses has become loose, should be re-fixed. Examine by removing top of the front loader; this will give you a gud view of the pipes. If helped, click.

Soap dispensewr will not close

Hi - If dispenser drawer will not stay pushed in it could either be cracked or have a broken latch due to interference between the drawer front and top panel. Contact a professional to move forward accurately and might possibly need to order a service kit (PN: 137146000) if it is an Electrlolux washer.

My dish washer soap does not dissolve, whether or not I put the tablet or the pillow into the soap dispenser. Is it the soap dispenser door? Would hard water buildup create low water pressure so the soap...

The most likely causes are the you are using a tablet in a gel coating but putting the tablets into the dispenser drawer when the dispencer drawer is damp, thus causing the tablet to stick inside the housing; or, if the dispenser drawer is releasing the tablet into the bottom of the cabinet then I would say you have a problem with your water heater. In which case you would need an enginner to come and replace the heater.

Hope this is of help

Indesit WIE147 leaking from soap dispenser

You could have a clog in the housing underneath the dispenser where the water flows through a hose into the tub.
Pull the dispenser drawer completely out.
There is a tab that needs to be depressed to release the drawer and remove it.
Check the opening at the bottom of the housing just inside the dispenser housing opening to see if a small sock or garment is clogging this opening.
Reach down into this opening to see if an item is inside the hose.
This is the normal issue that will cause water to leak out of the dispenser housing.

Wash the dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water. Make sure that you pull off the siphon covers and wash all siphon holes. This process is described in your owner's manual. Replace the dispenser drawer and try the washer again.

Soap dispenser drawer jammed

I would not say that is normal wear and tear, but the fabric softener or bleach dispenser may not have gotten replaced correctly after they were removed. You should rarely have to clean these out (as they are flushed with water on each cycle) Make sure they are installed correctly and you should not have repeat problems. Now, Here's a possible solution to the current jammed dispenser: Remove the two screws on the bottom side of the plastic clips on the back of the washer (leaving the clips attached to the washer's top), then use the palms of your hands to sharply push the top back about an inch and a half and lift the top off the machine. Now, if you can see enough through the translucent plastic to tell where the hang up is, you can drill a small hole in the top of it to allow you to push that part down so the drawer will open. Then, use foil duct tape to seal the hole.

Soap dispenser

I got my fixed last night. It was the "lid" for the softener despenser that was making the drawer stick. To remove it you need to take the top off of the washer. There is are two plastic "holders" on the back of the machine that hold the top onto the machine. Each of these "holders" have two screws, remove them, then remove the holder. You can then, with some effort, slide the top of the washer towards the back the then lift it off. You will then be able to see plastic tub that contains the drawer for the despensers. You can't remove this tub, but on the side facing the inside of the washer are a couple of tabs holding the top of the plastic down. You can gently release these tabs and pull up on the top slightly. This gave me enough "play" to then open the drawer. The problem, I believe, is that over time, that tub moves and makes it impossible for the drawer to open. With trial and error, I found that with removing the "lid" for the softener despenser, and completely closing the lid of the plastic tub, that that solved the problem.
