Where does the reset button located in the q.see DRV digital video recorded

i dont know, but their is a "format" or procedure for doing this...press this button one time, and then do this, etc..be forewarned it will wipe out all of your recordings and scheduled recordings...you mite try contacing the customer service website at Samsung on the web! : )
Give them you tv model number, etc..

Try the simple fix first. Take out your battery, turn the camera to the play position. Then with a ballpoint pen, hit the little reset button located on your camera and hold down the record button at the same time. Hold both for 10 seconds. This resets the motherboard to defaults. It also messes up your time and date. See if this helps. If not try a new cable between your camera and where your trying to produce your image. Still no good? You have an electronic problem.....Shop Time!

The movie recording error message indicates that the Camcorder is not in a position to record videos. It may be due to shake, free space, corruption in the folder structure, bad sectors in the HDD.
Please follow the below steps and check the operation. Each step is a possible resolution, so please perform one by one and check the operation.

• Place the Camcorder in a steady surface and press the record button.
• Please press the reset button on the Camcorder and check if that helps.

Make sure that you have turned ON the Camcorder while pressing the reset button.. You can locate the reset button from the below figure.

• If the issue persists again, format the HDD of the Camcorder and check the operation.

To format the HDD of the Camcordeer, you can use the HDD FORMAT option under the HDD set
Note:Formatting the HDD will erase all previously recorded videos and images from the Camcorder.

when problem occur while cam is operating, the self-diagnosis function starts working, and may display the service mode display code. in your case, C:31:40, pertains to a part of the cam tape compartment mechanism called the drum that doesn't start up. issues could prevent you from recording, playing back tapes, rewinding or fas forwarding. t/s steps are: try diff tapes esp. w/prev recordings, reset cam (press reset button while cam is on, located just below the menu button, in the panel where the lcd screen goes to), power reset (remove batt and ac adapter and leave cam w/ any power source for at least a minute). if issue persists, unit will require repair. hope this helps.tnx:)

Yes, the problem with electronics is the US uses NTSC and most other countries use PAL, it changes how the tape head alignes with the tape. You have to insure the device you have is both (most devices are) so try and get into the menu settings and see if you have a PAL/NTSC video selector option. If so change it to PAL.

The duration of higher quality videos is reduced to 10secs. You can only record lower resolution video for a longer duration by changing the type from Super High Quality (SHQ) to either HQ or SQ. This can be done by turning the menu whell to the video option, pressing the menu button, choose Image quality and scroll to HQ and press menu again. You will now find you can record for longer.

You may want to check the record lockout safety switch located on the tape. This button can get moved by accident and the camera will refuse to record on that tape. Also, be sure the camera is in "video" mode, not "photo" mode. Some of Canons camcorders have a digital still camera mode which stops the camcorder from functioning because the photos are being recorded to a memory card and not your tape, please check this swithc as well. Although the problem is due to the comm.drv, FUJI has prepared a new sdt-7 for Win.311. Please call Customer service at to obtain the sdt-7 or go to the ftp site and download sdt7w31v20.exe. It is important that your PC has Win 32s loaded before install your new sdt-7.
