How do I get rid of outlook preview

Which version of Outlook are you using.

What mail system are you using? What operating system?
If you are using Microsoft Outlook use software like Remo Outlook Backup and Migrate this will save all your settings and emails. Then
reload the Microsoft Outlook program from the Microsoft Office disk this will give you a totally empty mail box. If you have missed something you can always search on your backup.

Shrink the preview window to "zero" or change the preference setting to avoid having the preview window open automatically. You may have to be disconnected from the Internet or your local network or server to do this. After you eliminate the preview window you can reconnect to the network and delete the problem email from the list before you reopen the preview window. Do not open the problem email from the or the system may freeze again.

I guess you need to download and install Outlook Express 6 so I think you have an early version.
