work for what,,, ? click bait?
it has mostly wrong answers.
and the fixya engine that ties to match up old answers for computers is never correct. ever.
how could it?
Cyberdytne 2 still needs humans to fix bad computers still, so they did not kill off the humans yet, (yet)

The big problem
is posters never tell what PC they own nor the OS they run.
so answers will be wrong 99% for POSTER ERRORS.

to me the velocity of answers is never useful. fast + wrong = pain
max pain. (and wasted CASH)

Thanks to ask and fixya, firefox no longer works. How do I get rid of them?

I am not sure what you mean by Fixya making Firefox no longer work. Fixya does not install anything on your computer or in your web browser.

If you have installed the Ask toolbar or maybe some other extensions recently, you could try uninstalling and see if that solves the issue. You could also try reinstalling Firefox altogether.

If you can reply with a comment below with additional details I will be more than happy to help you troubleshoot further, but I am positive Fixya did not cause Firefox to no longer work.

Looks like a good idea, except for one small factor;

In the FixYa T.O.S. it states there is no buying, or selling on FixYa,

http://www.fixya.com/terms

HOWEVER, there are plenty of other websites, where this is allowed.

If FixYa allowed selling, and buying of products in the product problem/solution area; there would be no room for problems, and their solutions.

(FixYa would be more like Craigslist, or Ebay. Not the world's largest product support website)

I have extensive files on timers, and don't show that timer.

1) Add a comment with photo of your timer:
And include voltage that you are working with, and type of Load that timer controls

If you have forgotten your FixYa login pasword, you can reset the password by c licking this link:

http://www.fixya.com/ForgotPassword.aspx

On the page which opens, enter your email address you registered with FixYa and click the "Email Me" button.

You will then receive an email from from FixYa with the instructions to reset the password.

Fixyu spell checker not working.

I know Firefox has a built-in spellchecker. I don't know which version of IE has that feature... if you're using IE make sure you've updated to the newest version. If that doesn't work I would just install Firefox.
