Turn the vacuum so the bottom is facing up..
Take out the scews in the plate that surounds the brush and take it off..
The belt should be firmly on the brush and the motor..
If the belt has come off the motor - pull out the side of the brush that the belt connects to.. Put the belt back on the motor post and the brush.. It might be a tad tough going back in because the belt should have a little tension..
Once the belt is on and brush in place - put plate back on..

Hope this helps ;o)

Ths spin scrub brushes wont spin

Be sure the speed switch is set to carpet. Also remember the brushes won't turn until the handle is tipped back. If this is not the problem, remove the brush and insert a flat screwdriver into the square hole the brush pin goes into, and be sure it turns ( there will be some resistance ). If it is seized up, the turbine will need replacement. There is also an air intake screen which must be kept clean. It is located behind a clear plastic cap on the upper front of the floor nozzle, just above the brush "spinner".

My Rainbow e-series will not run. It will turn on, but it sounds like the motor is barely running for a few seconds and then it stops. It will do this over and over.

Remove the water canister and turn the motor on it's side. Try to turn the 'diffuser' device by hand--it should turn freely. If very hard to turn, then one of the motor bearings may have frozen and the plastic case must be removed to access the motor. It's likely to be the lower bearing as it is very near the water in the bottom. If you leave water standing in the unit after vacuuming for long periods, this will hasten the bearing problem. Remove the diffuser and check the pot-metal spinner device underneath to make sure parts of it aren't dragging against the outer frame--dirt and other debris will cause these parts to seize together. You can clean this space with a thin screwdriver blade if you are careful. Hope some of this helps!

The thing that is suppose to spin to show it is working is not spinning.

Are you getting fluid out when you spray? If not, check that you are not out of cleaning fluid or water. Assuming that you are not out of the cleaning fluid, you can remove the cap that holds the spinner and see if something is obstructing it. If you remove the cap and try to spray cleaning fluid, it should come out of the hole. Be careful if you do this as it sprays pretty far (put a towel over the hole where the spinner goes and watch your eyes). If fluid is coming out, it's just the spinner that is hung up. Mine does this sometimes. Good luck!

The water does not shoot out of my bissell proheat shampooer. The red spinner has stopped spinning.

I'm not sure I have the same kind of machine as you because I don't think I have a red spinner. However, I did have the problem of water not shooting out (although the solution was being used up, just not the water). The problem turned out to be the plug underneath the main tank. To find out if this is your problem, lift out the main tank and take it to the sink. Feel underneath for the plug. Push inside of it. Water should squirt out (assuming there is water in your tank). If it doesn't, turn the tank over, unscrew the plug, and push the thing inside until you get it to spring up and down. If it won't do that, you might need a new one. If it springs, screw it back and try your machine again. Mine worked good as new after I did this. Good luck!
